By the end of 2008 it had reached almost 3 million copies in sales and was eventually certified triple platinum by the RIAA in 2009 as it reached a clip of 3.6 million sales in the U.S.⠀ ⠀ That success was propelled by four singles on the album that had a strong presence on the charts.
