Ghost Color

As a band we’ve spent years figuring out who we are as a unit, what our sound was, and what we wanted from it, only to have everything change just as we accomplished most or all those missions.
And as if figuring who we are as a band wasn’t hard enough, it’s even harder when you have to do those things on a personal level. Here’s some tip we’ve picked up on the road to self and self-preservation.
If the road you’re on doesn’t thrill you anymore, get off it. you’ll waste more time by continuing down a path you don’t want than if you just stop so you can figure out what you do want. Don’t want the same things you wanted yesterday, last week, last year? You’ve changed.
Embrace it. Learn who the new you is, cause the old you is never coming back.
Don’t try and forced other people to veer off their course so you can have them on yours. No matter how much you love them or how much (you think) it will be better for them. They will either support your new vision or they won’t.
No one owes you anything. Not your friends, not your partner, not your bandmates, not the world.
You don’t owe anyone anything. Not your friends, not your partner, not your bandmates, not the world.
Be kind, everyone you meet is fighting a terrible battle.
Only allow kind people into your life. It’s only a matter of time before a cruel person turns their cruelness on you. they can’t help it.
Value yourself. There’ll be people who will want you to value the person they want you to be, more than the person you actually are. Ignore their voices. Listen to your own.
