If there’s anything Bollywood taught us, it is, if you thought your imagination was quite great, then think again. Biopics as a genre are changing the way people look at those who became great personalities in life and through the years, movies like Sanju and Gold were some of the really well made movies. As the year 2019 progresses, here’s taking a look at some of the most interesting biopics to look forward to this year:

1. Super 30

Returning to the silver Screen after a gap of nearly two years, Hrithik Roshan is all set to make a comeback with a biopic based on the life of Anand Kumar, a professor who gave underprivileged students the hope to dream. This Bahl directorial is all set to his the screens on 26th January, 2019.

2. Mogul

Late Gulshan Kumar, now known for founding the game changer of the Bollywood industry, T Series, had a very unglamorous childhood. A man who revolutionised the way Indian music industry functioned in the 1980s, Gulshan Kumar led quite a thrilling life. Mogul, with Akshay Kumar playing the role of Gulshan Kumar, maps this man’s journey from the other side of tracks to being one of the most successful people in the country, to being shot outside a temple in Mumbai in the year 1997. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on Christmas this year!

3. Thackeray

After the release of all the controversies surrounding the life of Bal Thackeray in the book titled An Ordinary Life: A Memoire, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to play the role of Bal Thackeray in this film based on his life! Tracing the life of Thackeray’s journey from being a cartoonist, to being a politician who changed the face of the political scene in Maharashtra, Thackeray is going to be an eye opener. Initially scheduled to hit the screens in December last year, the film is now expected to hit the screens on Thackeray’s birthday this year!

4. Jhalki, Ek Aur Bachpan

Based on the life of Kailash Satyarthi, a man who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, Jhalki Ek Aur Bachpan will bring to life the story of a girl who is on the hunt of her brother. While Boman Irani plays Kailash in this film, the film also maps the journey of how he saves over 83,000 children, including more than 144 girls!
