Adiós 2018: These 6 Actors Made Their Presence Impossible To Miss In 2018

Yeah, it is that time of the year. As 2018 crawls to an end, let us take a deep breath and take a look back at the year went by. And to what it offered to us.

2018 was fun. The year saw the release of many content-driven movies which the audience loved wholeheartedly over multi-starrers. 2018 also saw a brigade of actors – debutants as well as veterans, who left a striking impact on the audience with their performances and made their way into our heart.

These set of actors also proved that there is no “lead role” and “side role” but only good roles. Here are some of the noteworthy actors whose Presence were totally impossible to miss in 2018:

  1. Aparshakti Khurana in “Stree”:

Loyal, comical and sometimes cynical, Aparshakti Khurana’s role in “Stree” was super-entertaining and unforgettable. Well, not many actors can leave their mark while sharing screen space with Rajkummar Rao and clearly, Aparshakti is definitely one of them.

  1. Jim Sarbh in “Padmaavat”:

While Padmaavat was easily the most over-hyped movie of 2018, Jim Sarbh’s Malik Kafur was the real unsung hero. He had just a few scenes and that too, most of them are with Ranveer Singh but in every scene that he forced the audience to take a moment to notice his nuanced gestures, his carefully chosen dialect and his eyes that did most of the talking anyway.

3. Gajraj Rao in “Badhai Ho”:

This humble-looking man made a big transition from internet to movies in 2018 with Badhai Ho and Blackmail and what a journey it was. Gajraj Rao in Badhai Ho made us forget that there is Ayushmann Khurana too in the movie. His affectionate, almost infectious on-screen charm struck a cord with us somewhere. Will keep a look out for him in 2019 for sure.

4. Jaideep Ahlawat in “Raazi”:

Jaideep Ahlawat’s strong presence in Raazi made us sit and notice him for good. His cold, indifferent role as compared to the vulnerable Alia Bhatt made us fell in his awe. Although he was also present in 2012 hit “Gangs Of Wassypur,” it was Khalid Mir of Raazi who brought out the real star in him.

5. Gitanjali Rao in “October”:

Gitanjali Rao was a familiar face due to her work in TV ads and theatre. But her on-screen absolutely flawless avatar as the single mother of a comatose daughter dealing with unparalleled grief and going on with her daily routine, that created a special place in the audience’s heart.

6. Radhika Madan in “Pataakha”:

Be it Sunil Grover or Vijay Raaz or Sanya Malhotra- Pataakha was a gold mine of talent and we did not expect this much out of this debutante. But she came like a storm and swept us off our feet and left us mesmerized with her foul-mouthed rustic performance.
