Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited sports biopic is now out in theatres. The movie, also starring Mouni Roy, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, is based on India’s first Gold medal victory soon after independence as a free nation and the people who made it possible.
Akshay Kumar plays the team manager whose job is to take the charge to assemble the country’s first all-Indian hockey team. His aim is to beat the Britishers at their own game, on their own turf.
The movie seems to have a perfect mix of all the ingredients that usually make a movie hit among viewers- period drama, patriotism, sports drama and Akshay Kumar.
