History of Fire Service in Nigeria: The Federal Fire Service (FFS) was established by the Fire Service Act (law) of 1963 and is still the only statutory organization established by law to undertake or render services as regards to fire and its related cases. These services include firefighting, fire prevention, search and rescue services, humanitarian services etc.
The Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Services Board (CDFIPB) is MASSIVELY RECRUITING for suitably qualified candidates for enlistment into the vacant positions available below:
Position: Assistant Superintendent of Fire I (ASF I) – CONPASS 09
Location: Nigeria
Category: Superintendent Cadre
Requirement
- Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree or membership of a recognized professional body.
Position: Senior Inspector of Fire (SIF) – CONPASS 08
Location: Nigeria
Category: Inspectorate Cadre
Academic Qualification
- Applicants must possess Higher National Diploma or its equivalent from recognized Polytechnics/Institutions.
Position: Assistant Superintendent of Fire II (ASF II) – CONPASS 08
Location: Nigeria

Requirement
- Applicants must be holders of Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from recognized Universities.
Position: Assistant Inspector of Fire (AIF), General Duty – CONPASS 06

Academic Qualification
- Applicants must possess National Diploma (ND), NCE or Advanced NABTEB obtained from recognized institutions.
Position: Inspector of Fire (IF), Nursing – CONHESS 06

- Applicants must be registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM) or Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNM) obtained from recognized institutions.
Position: Fire Assistant II (FA II) – CONPASS 04

Requirements
- Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO or its equivalent with a minimum of five (5) credits in not more than two (2) sittings, which should include Mathematics and English Language.
Position: Fire Assistant III (FA III) – CONPASS 03
Location: Nigeria
Category: Assistant Cadre
Requirements
- Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO or its equivalent with a minimum of three (3) credits in not more than two (2) sittings, which should include at least English or Mathematics.

FFS Recruitment 2018 Basic Requirements
Candidates who wish to apply for the Nigeria Federal Fire Service Recruitment exercise must meet the following conditions:
- Must reside and be a Nigerian citizen
- Must have WAEC/NECO/GCE with five (5) credit passes
- A minimum of B.Sc or H.N.D degree from a reputable institution
- Must have N.Y.S.C discharge certificate
- Age requirements: Candidates must be between 22-35 years old.
- Must be medically, physically and psychologically fit
- Must have Excellent Communication skills.
- Computer literacy will be of added advantage.

N/B: Candidates are advised to print out the Referee Forms which must be dully completed and presented for sighting during screening and documentation. You are also required to print out the acknowledgment slip which will continuously be on demand throughout the exercise.
