Anil Kapoor took to social media to share the title of the song ‘Achche Din’ from his upcoming film ‘Fanney Khan’, along with a picture where he is seen standing against a taxi wearing the taxi driver’s uniform, with a question ‘Mere Achche Din Kab aayenge’. He also stated that this is his favourite song from the film.

The song gives us a glum picture of a hapless father. Staying true to the mood of the song, Anil looks helpless, dejected and defeated as he searches for an answer to the woes of every common man.

The first two songs from the film that was released earlier, Mohobbat and Halka Halka, were both rehashes of popular old songs, Jawan Hai Mohabbat and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Yeh Jo Halka Halka Suroor Hai. Achche Din, however, is the first original shared by the makers from the film. This song is also completely different from the other two which were more of a desi pop.

The first two had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the spotlight while this is totally Anil Kapoor’s song and gives us a gist of the character he plays in the film. Achche Din has been sung and composed by Amit Trivedi and the lyrics by Irshad Kamil.

Fanney Khan is the story of a father who wishes to see his daughter as a successful pop star. He abducts a high profile celebrity to get the money needed to record his daughter’s first album. Directed by debut director Atul Manjerekar, it is slated to release on 3 August.

P.S. Mr Kapoor, we have a suggestion. You should probably croon this number in front of the one and only person in our country who has the answer to your question! (wink!)
