Abstract Art – A Journey Through Colour

It was about five years ago we first came across Peter Vaillant’s brilliant abstract art creations.  Five years of hankering after the polished colourful style which he is known and lauded for.  Peter’s work is intrepid, playful and totally enjoyable to view, with sounding approval from Nigel Hurst CEO of Saatchi Gallery, Turner Prize nominee Ian Davenport and Sir David Hockney being fans of his work.

Peter has been recognised as an abstract artist phenomenon, obtaining notoriety, through commissions, acquirement and favorably reviewed.

His unique representation of abstract art follows successful waves of innovation and connection to the environment which surrounds the artist. The methodology for investigating form and hue compounds his creative documentation. Repeatedly capturing moments of the subject throughout the year on location within a diary of colour, Peter creates epic varying sized artworks depicting landscape and cityscape vistas.

Confirmation of his international consequence can be attributed with artwork adorning public and private collections.  Examples include Liverpool Cathedral which acquired ‘Praise’ and hangs alongside Tracey Emin and Dame Elisabeth Frink. Other notable examples include Peter Vaillant’s BBC commission for Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Pageant and joining Sir David Hockney in showcasing the painting at London and New York galleries.

Peter has an unusual concept in vision and energy.  He is striving to add element and expressionism to uncharted work and he himself believes he has only scratched the surface of his full potential. “If I can attain the remarkable difference, Howard Hodgkin, Gerhard Richter, John Hoyland and Hans Hoffman have given us as a legacy and inheritance in art, I will be truly touched with an overwhelming sense of passion and existence”, he says.

Visit the Peter Vaillant artist page to see his original artworks including a set of 5 smaller pieces – a new format exclusive to Forest Gallery which are beautifully float framed and glazed.
