It was dark all around, he couldn't see the light and he was very afraid to find himself in that kind of place, his face was filled with sweat, so he was trying to reach bathroom, but soon enough he found himself weak and was not able to walk, but with some extra efforts he made his way to the bathroom. After that he went outside the room and found his mother was sitting on a chair and praying some thing, so he went near to her.

She was shocked and became happy then screamed with joy, "Doctor, My son is awake, he can talk, he can walk."

He couldn't understand what was going on because those things were strange to an 11 yrs old boy.

He again asked his mother the very same question.

"Son, you met with an accident while you were playing with Natasha, you fell from 5th floor of building and you were in subconscious state when we took you to Hospital but after waiting 2 days you are fine, my love." She replied.

Abhijeet lost his memory for a while, So She described the whole story.

          Abhijeet, 11 yrs old boy was playing with his only friend Natasha, 9 yrs old girl, they both were best friends, since Abhijeet's Father Vishwajeet Roy got a transfer from Kolkata to Dehradoon. Dehradoon was Vishwajeet's first choice because he wa in love with beauty of Uttarakhand. Natasha's Father Aveenash Verma just started working under Vishwajeet and both became good friends that's why Abhijeet got Natasha as a friend. Abhijeet and Natasha were playing on the roof, but accidentally Abhijeet fell from the 5th floor, and reached to the hospital bed.

         Abhijeet's mother Parvati hosted a Kali pooja ceremony after returning of Abhijeet from Hospital, after all falling from 5th floor was not a normal accident. Although Abhi met with a serious accident but he got no serious injury even not a fracture in his body that's why Abhi started walking just after two days of accident. After complete recovery from accident, Abhi again started schooling with Natasha, Abhi was in 5th std. and Natasha was in 3rd std. After that incident Abhi and Natasha became best friends and they were growing together.

           Abhi and Natasha both were growing together. Abhi grew as an introvert person, he was not able to make friends and he had no friends except Natasha. Where Natasha had a friendly nature and had many friends that's why Abhi was getting possessive for Natasha, He didn't like her to talk to other boys in too much friendly manner. He was afraid of losing her. One day in a party Natasha was dancing with a guy who had very bad intentions for her, so Abhi shouted on Natasha and ordered her to stop dancing but she didn't like that face of Abhi, so she fought with Abhi

"Natasha Stop Dancing", Abhi Shouted.

"Who the hell are you?, and How can you order me?, Listen you don't have any right to order me, Okay" She angrily answered.

"Natasha listen to me, It's not good, damn it...", Abhi was not completed yet, Natasha interrupted,"Leave me alone, you are nothing, understand."

"Do whatever you want," Abhi Shouted and left the party.

Abhi's mother noticed all those things, she could understand the emotions of Abhi so she went to Abhi at night and talked

"Abhi, What happened?" Parvati asked.

"Nothing, Maa" Abhi replied.

"Oh C'mon Son, just say it" She forcibly asked.

"Maa you know Natasha, She has a childish nature and you know what, that guy in the party who was dancing with her was not good, I was just trying to protect her, but she fought with me, I know she was not saying all those things from heart, but maa she has to be mature." He vomited all his emotions in front of her.

She understood, Abhi was mad for Natasha.

"Okay, son you're in 11th std. now, and you have to work hard for your college competitions because you want to be an engineer, so let's start preparing for Engineering Entrance Exam." Mother advised.

"Yep, Maa, I don't know what will happen when I'm gone. How will Natasha survive, Maa make a promise that you will take care of her, when I'm not here." He requested.

"Okay, Son Now go to sleep." Mother promised.   

Abhi started feeling for her but she had no idea about all those things, because Abhi didn't want to ruin their friendship, so he started hiding his feelings for her.

Abhi got admission in NIT Kurukshetra with Electrical Engineering. Before leaving home Abhi talked to Natasha.

Abhi : "Natasha, I'm leaving."

Natasha : "Don't go, What will I do without you."

Abhi : "I'm gonna miss you."

Natasha : "Me too. Oh, Abhi you wanted to say something?"

Abhi : "Yep."

Natasha : "Then What are you waiting for?"

Abhi : "Nothing. Leave it. I'll talk to you later."

Natasha : "Oh c'mon."

Abhi : "I've written a coded message for you, It's in your Physics book, p.g. 143.

Natasha : "Finally, you've given me another Homework. I really hate you Abhi."

Abhi left home.

After 28 months she solved the code and got the message that Abhi proposed her. She made a phone call.

Natasha : "Hey"

Abhi : "Yep"

Natasha : "Why did you write a coded message, what was that?"

Abhi : "Leave it, Natasha, It was nothing..."

She interrupted him.

Natasha : "I love you."

Abhi : "What? Really, You did it. Thank god."

Natasha : "You are crazy, why did you not said it me directly?"

Abhi : "I was afraid of losing you, sorry."

Natasha : "Okay, so complete your Engineering and come to me, I'm waiting."

Abhi was happy, his efficiency was increased and started working hard because he got a motivation. After completing B.Tech Abhi got a job in reputed company B.H.E.L. which was situated in Haridwar near to Dehradoon. Now both were near and happy. Abhi's mother was happy with his son's happiness. One day she talked to Abhi

Mother : "Hey son, You're very happy."

Abhi : "Yep, Maa"

Mother : "Now you're settled in your life, so we should think about your marriage."

Abhi : "What Maa, Don't think about all these things."

Mother : "I thought you would be happy to know this girl's name."

Abhi : "What Maa, I don't wanna marry, got it?"

Mother : "By the way, her name is Natasha, daughter of your father's friend Aveenash...."

He interrupted her.

Abhi : "Did you ask her about all these things?"

Mother : "She is ready, my crazy son."

Both families were preparing for Abhi and Natasha's marriage. They called a Pandit Ji for auspicious date and time, Pandit Ji announced a date, Abhi was very happy. Best friends were going to be husband and wife. But the game of cruel destiny is just started, it took everything from one person.

"Doctor, a miracle just happened" Nurse screamed.

"What do you mean?, Sister" Doctor asked.

"Ward no. 11, Abhijeet Roy..."The nurse was replying but Doctor interrupted.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes, Doctor Miracle just happened." Nurse said.

"Thank god, finally after a long time." Doctor Said.

Doctor entered to ward no. 11 and there was a skinny boy who was laying on the bed and a woman with tears of joy was sitting beside that boy.

"Doctor, I can't describe How much happy today I'm." She replied with tears.

"You didn't lose your faith, Mrs. Roy."Doctor said.

"How could I, He is my Son Doctor." She said.

With looking in a paper Doctor said,"Really it's a miracle, after 13 years 8 months and 14 days, a person came back from coma, It's really a miracle, we all lost the hope but you Mrs. Roy... It's your faith."

Abhijeet was in a coma since he fell off the 5th floor of the building, all those things were in his dream only, a dream which will never fulfill.

Abhijeet woke up and talked to his mother

Abhi : "Maa, Where is Natasha?"

Mother : "They are in Himachal Pradesh, her father got a transfer to Himachal, they didn't contact us for last 8 years."

Abhi : "Maa, I wanna meet Natasha, Please."

How could she refuse that wish of Abhi, after all he took 13 years 8 months and 14 days to ask something again. She made a phone call to Sonam Verma and described whole situation, so Sonam assured her that she will inform Natasha, she will try to send her to meet Abhi.

Finally, the day has come, Abhi and Natasha met face to face.

Abhi : "Hey Natasha, Do you remember?" 

Natasha : "Why, not hero, you were my best friend."

Abhi : "You were???"

Natasha : "I meant you are my best friend, idiot."

Abhi : "I have only one friend, Ha Ha Ha."

They both were talking, then suddenly a young man entered to room and said,"Natasha, your dad is calling."

Natasha : "Oh One sec"

Abhi : "Go attend the call, Natasha"

Natasha : "2 minutes, he can wait"

She looked at the young man and said," Rishi, meet Abhi my childhood friend, and Abhi, meet Rishi my fiance."

All the clocks were stopped, all the nerves were dead, everything was dead, silence and darkness were spreading everywhere, Abhi was killed with those words.

Abhi : "Congrats Rishi.........  Natasha, Sorry I'm feeling sleepy now, can you please go outside."

They left the room

Abhi was laying on the bed and crying and asking god," Oh god, Why did you wake me? Why did you not kill me?"

Abhi broke his own heart, It was his mistake, he knew that, he was broken, he was alive but dead from inside.

He was just asking for one thing "Death". He was just wishing for one thing "Death".

It was his "Death Wish".
