Kebony USA's Taylor Young was designated a Wood Industry 40 Under 40 winner for the Class of 2017. He received his award shortly after making a presentation at the Leadership Forum at AWFS show in Las Vegas on July, 19th, 2017. The AWFS is one of North America's largest woodworking trade shows, with more than 15,000 woodworkers, finish carpenters and cabinet makers in attendance. This program seeks individuals in the next generation of people who are destined to make an impact on wood products manufacturing industry in North America. Winners were announced in early June, with awards presented at the AWFS Leadership Conference this month. “Taylor’s success in working with the architectural community will be integral to Kebony as we continue our expansion in the North American market,” says Andy Hehl, US sales manager. “He has a great sense of design for both indoor and outdoor environments, which is of great benefit to us.” Taylor joined Kebony from high-end restoration millwork supplier Delta Millworks, Austin, Texas, where he designed and implemented a new sales approach with a focus on architectural specification. At Delta, he was personally responsible for increasing sales more than 50 percent year-over-year from 2014 through 2016. Delta Millworks works together with Kebony on charred timber products. 40 Under 40 winners are disruptors, innovators, rebels; those who have broken the rules or worked out of the box to innovate their industry.
