{Cobalt and Chinoiserie by Mark D. Sikes for Henredon}

Twice a year, I make the pilgrimage to High Point, North Carolina for the design industry’s biggest market event. It is a great way for me to discover new finds as well as visit favorite vendors and see their latest offerings. Between meetings, networking, spending time with friends, I spend my days seeking out pieces for current clients and finding fabulous new things for future projects. The market is truly massive encompassing many large buildings in downtown High Point and is very well-attended by people from all over the world.

Since I am taking over High Point Market’s Instagram @highpointmarket to share my favorite finds today, I thought it would be fun to delve into my High Point experience here on LDV as well. I came away having found some beautiful new pieces and having had a wonderful time, but was exhausted by the end of it! This season, blue seemed to reign supreme and I am happy to report that classic design is alive and well. It seemed to be more about the mix between traditional and modern rather than the contrived, strictly modern looks that so many people got wrapped up in the past few years.

{This season also saw the launch of Jeffrey Bilhuber‘s Collection for Henredon which was filled with a playful, irreverent spin on classic design elements. The pieces are executed with bold colors and interesting details.}

{Over at Hickory Chair, Los Angeles-based designer, David Phoenix launched his handsome, debut collection of furniture, accessories, and lighting.}

{I always love what Suzanne Kasler does! This time, her collection for Hickory Chair was dressed in black and white, which is right up my alley, of course.}

{This market saw the much-anticipated return of design doyenne, Bunny Williams who brought her iconic Bunny Williams Home collection to the IHFC building and her new lighting collection to Currey & Co.}

{Designer and Merchant, Thomas O’Brien‘s distinctive, masculine style was on display in his polished showroom at Century. He also introduced some chic, new lighting designs at Visual Comfort.}

{Randy and Courtney Tilinski of Bungalow Classic showed their elegant, fresh collection for Highland House for the second time this season. So lovely!}

{Also at Highland House, Barrie Benson introduced some new pieces in her colorful, vintage-inspired collection.}

{Furniture manufacturer, Drexel enlisted British product designer, Jo Sampson to completely overhaul their brand and imbue it with a more youthful, modern sensibility. The collection is filled with interesting and versatile pieces.}

{The playful Kate Spade collection for EJ Victor showed its sophisticated side with pretty neutrals in camel, leopard, and burl wood.}

{Mary McDonald‘s Sophisticated, Classically-Inspired Collection for Chaddock featured Several New Introductions}

{Windsor Smith Launched a Huge Collection with Century which was Executed in her Signature Soft Gray Palette}

{I was happy to see one of my favorite artists, Alexis Walter who brought in paintings that were on the bolder side than her usual soft pastels this time.}

{I have yet to tire of Tommy Mitchell‘s collection of tole botanicals. They are chic, romantic, feminine, and completely timeless.}

{I am obsessed with Tommy’s botanicals in lucite shadow boxes!}

{I can always count on Visual Comfort to have exquisite lighting. As such, we use their products all the time. This season, I loved these chic, mid-century inspired lights by Aerin Lauder.

{I also loved this stylish pendant by Barbara Barry at Visual Comfort. This season, Barbara also relaunched her collection of furniture with Baker.}
