AMD gets ten dollars of recommended RX 460 2GB and 4GB 470 off

AMD has the Suggested Retail Prices of the Radeon RX 460 and RX 470 with 2GB VRAM with 4GB vram lowered by ten dollars. Perhaps the company does this in order to compete with the upcoming Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti.

In an e-mail that among others has been sent to Tech Report and Nexus Gamers, let AMD know that the US suggested the RX 460 and RX 470 2GB 4GB drop to respectively 100 and $ 170. The Retail price of the RX 460 2GB is thus just below MSRP of the 1050 GTX 109 2GB which dollar amounts . The GTX 1050 Ti, which will have 4GB of VRAM, has an MSRP of $ 139 and is thus still well below $ 170, the RX 470 4GB. With prices showing on Newegg is that price, however, similar to the current prices for the 4GB version of the RX 460, which is sold for 130 to 140 dollars. The 1050 GTX is no independent benchmarks, however, are yet known, so the price-performance ratio of the cards can not yet be compared.

It is currently unclear whether this decrease in retail price also applies to Europe. In addition, it is questionable whether this decision of AMD in practice, have any effect; by supply shortages, the prices for the latest graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia currently often higher than the Retail Prices. The closer the price of a card at the suggested retail prices comes close, the longer the wait for the actual delivery.

Videocardz wrote of the week also features a new version of the RX 470 called the RX 470D. This would be a stripped down version of this video card are reportedly appears only in the Chinese market. The card is smaller than the RX 470 and 1792 stream processors instead of 2048. This model will only get a version with 4GB of GDDR5 memory.
