Learning a second language can provide you with new opportunities in school, work, and travel! It will help you communicate better with people who speak that language. While it may seem like learning another language is a daunting task, it's pretty easy once you get started. When you learn a new word in your new language, try to incorporate it into your daily routine (like talking to friends or family). in this article I'm going to explain why learning a second language is an incredibly valuable skill - especially if you want to work online as an entrepreneur or freelancer. There are actually three main reasons why learning Japanese will be of enormous value to you if you decide to do so. We're going to discuss these three reasons right now - so let's get started! 1) It will make you smarter! - Learning a second (or third) language increases cognitive function and brain activity. If you ever took a foreign language class in high school or college, then you know first-hand just how difficult it can be to communicate using vocabulary and grammar that's not native to your own culture. If you have learned a second (or third) language, then you can relate to the fact that it takes practice, dedication and hard work to become truly fluent in order to be able to effectively communicate with others on a daily basis. 2. Learning a foreign language stimulates learning in similar areas of the brain as maths and science. -Learning a second language improves ability to process information efficiently and quickly. This helps students learn subject material faster and easier! Brain function is increased through learning a foreign language as it forces an individual's thought process to go outside of the box in order to grasp certain concepts & ideas that can be difficult if not impossible when using only one language. The sense of achievement people gain from learning something completely new and difficult also increases students' motivation for tackling other complex tasks. And because language learning triggers mental processes across several different areas - memory, motor control and visual recognition among them - it can lead to better performance on certain types of cognitive tests too. 3. It will open doors! In today's globalized world, businesses, academia & professional organizations all favor candidates who speak more than 1 language. Employers should want their employees to know more than1 language as it helps them better communicate and interact with customers, clients and co-workers from outside of the organization. For example: If you have studied or worked abroad in a country that speaks a different language than your own native tongue, then you are able to speak from an informed point of view when discussing foreign cultures & customs. On the other hand, individuals who have not had international experiences are less likely to be aware of cultural nuances that would help improve understanding for both parties involved. In today's globalized world, people should want to do business with companies that they can relate to on a deeper level.
