Diamond Platnumz (Naseeb Abdul Juma) is a Tanzanian-born Bongo Flava music artist and vocalist best known for his hit song Number One, which featured Nigerian artist Davido With an estimated net worth of $7 million, he is also one of the wealthiest singers in East Africa and the richest in Tanzania. Biography

Early Life

Diamond Platnumz (born October 2, 1989). He was born at Dar es Salaam’s Amana Hospital. His grandmother raised Diamond Platnumz in the western section of Tandale as his mother’s only child. With his father absent, his mother and grandmother were obliged to rent out part of their home to cover their daily expenses and pay their bills.

Education

Diamond began his education at Chakula Bora Nursery School in 1995, then transferred to Tandale Magharibi in 1996, where he finished in 2002.

Due to a lack of cash, he could not complete his schooling. Interestingly, Naseeb became interested in music while still in standard five. At every opportunity, he began singing and mimicking local and foreign singers.

Career

Diamond’s major musical career began in 2006 when he was 17/18. Life as an artist was never easy for him, contrary to popular belief. The star struggled to fit in with the industry. To collect funds for a studio session in 2007, he was compelled to do odd jobs such as selling gently used clothes, freelancing, and even working as a filling station attendant, among other things.

With the proceeds from his modest business, he recorded his first single, “Toka Mwanzo.” Although the first single did not sell as well as predicted, the singer did not give up on his profession.

Diamond, with the financial backing of Msafiri Peter, or Papa Misifa, who helped to foster his ability, successfully published the hit tune “Kamwambie” after much struggle. It was this song that catapulted him to fame.

When Platnumz first established himself in the music industry, he released his first album, Kamwambie, in 2010, the same year his hit song was launched.

The album, which contains 12 themes, was favorably received by the public and garnered him many friends. His second album, Lala Salama, was released two years after his debut in 2012. In 2018, he released his third studio album. Between these albums, he released a slew of singles.

Personal Life

Diamond is a devout Muslim. He has two children with his previous partner, Ugandan businesswoman Zari Hassan, who lives in South Africa. With Tanzanian model Hamisa Mobetto, he became a parent for the third time.

Diamond was dating Kenyan model and artist Tanasha Donna in 2019, with whom he had one son, born in October 2019.

Tanasha Donna has already returned to her home country of Kenya, and the two have parted ways.
