Veterans turn to psychedelics in Mexico for PTSD treatment

A growing number of American Veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are turning to psychedelic-assisted Treatment in Mexico, as traditional medications have failed to provide relief. Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions (VETS), a non-profit organization, funds grants for veterans to seek treatment in Mexico where psychedelics are used. Former service members, such as Herb Daniels and Marcus Capone, have reported transformative experiences with substances like ibogaine and 5-MeO-DMT. However, it is disappointing to them that they cannot access such treatment in the United States, leading some to feel abandoned by the country they fought for.
