How states are using legislative privilege to drag out redistricting lawsuits

In 2021, all states redrew their congressional district lines based on the 2020 census results. However, two years later, Lawsuits have been filed in many states claiming that these maps unfairly diminish the voting power of Black and Latino communities. ProPublica conducted an investigation revealing that certain state legislatures are attempting to protect the data used to create these maps. Marilyn Thompson, a ProPublica reporter, discusses this issue with John Yang.
