Blinken, Austin urge Congress to pass funding to support both Israel and Ukraine

The Biden administration is urging Congress to pass its $105 billion national security supplemental request, which includes Funding for both Israel and Ukraine. Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned that separating funding for the two countries could embolden adversaries like Russia and Iran. The request includes $61.4 billion for Ukraine and $14.3 billion for Israel, as well as funding for border security, humanitarian aid, and Indo-Pacific initiatives. There are concerns that the humanitarian aid could end up in the hands of Hamas. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin also stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine in its counteroffensive against Russia.
