Art detective helps Dutch police recover stolen van Gogh painting

Dutch art detective Arthur Brand, known as the "Indiana Jones of the Art World," has returned a stolen Vincent Van Gogh Painting to the Groninger Museum more than three years after it was stolen. The painting, titled "The Parsonage Garden at Nuenen in Spring," was taken from The Singer Laren museum in March 2020. Brand worked closely with Dutch police to recover the artwork, and a suspect was arrested in 2021. The painting will undergo scientific examination before being put back on display. Brand has a history of recovering stolen artworks, including a stolen Roman statue and paintings by Salvador Dali and Picasso.
