Pro-Putin rapper takes over ex-Domino’s franchises in Russia

Pro-Kremlin rapper Timati and Russian restaurateur Anton Pinskiy have taken over all former Domino's pizza outlets in Russia, rebranding them with the Cyrillic letter "и." They had previously bought 130 coffee shops formerly owned by Starbucks in Russia, renaming them Stars Coffee. The duo plans to retain the franchise's 120 restaurants and over 2,000 employees. This move comes after the company operating the Domino's brand in Russia and other countries filed for bankruptcy. Russia's decree allowing the seizure of assets from "unfriendly" countries has led to various rebrandings, including Lego blocks becoming "World of Cubes" and McDonald's restaurants becoming "Tasty and that's it."
