Canada's corporate ethics watchdog, the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise, has launched investigations into Nike Canada and Dynasty Gold over allegations of using or benefiting from forced Uyghur labor in their supply chains and operations in China. The investigations were initiated following complaints filed by a coalition of 28 civil society organizations. The other 11 companies mentioned in the complaints are still being assessed. Nike Canada has stated that it no longer has ties with Chinese companies using Forced Labor, while Dynasty Gold claims it does not have operational control over the mine where the allegations arose.
