Google executives have acknowledged that users are "not quite happy" with their search experience after thousands of Reddit forums went dark earlier this month, making many pages in search results inaccessible or unhelpful. To address this, Google has unveiled a new feature, Perspectives, which promises to surface discussion forums and videos from social media platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, Reddit and Quora. The Perspectives tab is available now on mobile web and the Google app in the US. Google is also working on ways to display helpful resources in search results without requiring users to add "Reddit" to their searches.
