The Karma Massacre in Burkina Faso on April 20th left 147 people dead, including 28 women, 45 children from 9 days old to 14 years old, and 9 wounded. Survivors of the massacre recounted their ordeal at a press conference north of the capital Ouagadougou. The human rights group announced that the number of victims was more than double the official figure of 60 deaths.
