We are the ones who know our partners best. But when it comes to gifts it can be hard. Especially when it comes to your wedding Anniversary. You want to buy them something important and meaningful but your mind goes blank! You think of all the things they like; perfume or aftershave, flowers, chocolates... The list is pretty big but the lack of originality is boring. They are the kind of gifts you'd get your partner if you are in a rush or as a quick Christmas present. To me, your anniversary is so much more important.
Now I love finding good gifts. But I love it even more if they are also on a budget. Most of the gifts suggested below will be on a budget. I am not embarrassed to say, I buy gifts on a budget. I have a family to fend for. Therefore I don't have bucket loads of cash to be using on gifts. Both me and my partner try to keep the gifts reasonably price. It is the thought that counts after all!
I have put together a list of the best anniversary gifts to have you set for your first 10 years! Sit back and relax, there will be something here for everyone! All gift ideas will be in line with the traditional gifts bought for each anniversary.

First Year
The traditional gift for your first year anniversary is paper. If you would like to stick to the tradition then here are some ideas around paper. You could buy a framed custom portrait from your wedding day. Again sticking to the paper, there are many companies that offer personalised items. One that caught my eye was a personalised first year newspaper. A photo album is also a good idea. I have just found this Activity book on Amazon, which I think is absolutely amazing idea -
Second Year
Now the traditional gift for this year is Cotton. Now this is pretty easy because you can buy just about anything. An item of clothing, a scarf, bedding, a blanket maybe. I absolutely love this Egyptian cotton towel set.
Third Year
Your third year is Leather. This could possibly be another easy one. Especially for the ladies. Handbag, Purse, Shoes! I know I have already mentioned a photo book. But I adore scrapbooking, there are so many different ways you could use it, so check out this leather scrapbook photo album.
Fourth Year
Traditionally, your fourth year gifts will consist of Fruit and Flowers or Linen and Silk. So here are two ideas for both categories.
First off we have Fruit and Flowers; a potted artificial fruit rose. Even better that it is artificial so it will never die.
Secondly we have Linen and Silk. Which I liked the idea of a cushion cover. One of these would look lovely centre stage on your bed.
Fifth Year
Your fifth year is Wood. This is where you could really get crafty and make something yourself. If you not feeling up to that, how about a wooden ornament for the home.
Sixth Year
For your sixth anniversary, you are going to want something either Iron or Candy. I struggled to think of anything for iron if I am completely honest. But then I saw these:

Now still on Iron, I also found this ornament which is great too.
For your sixth you can also have a Candy theme. Having a massive sweet tooth, I like this idea! A personalised sweet tin!
Seventh Year

Eighth Year
Hmm, well the eighth year in the UK is salt, so go out for a slap up meal! In the US the theme is pottery...just like Ninth year...
Ninth Year
Traditional gifts for your ninth year tend to involve pottery of some sort. My ideas were a set of mugs, a vase, a fancy jug or an ornament. Heres a couple of ideas.

- A vase is pretty self explanatory and it also depends on your partners interests as to what style you could go for. I like the quirky design of this one.

Tenth Year
Tin or Aluminum. I was struggling to think of ideas for this one. Until I came across this. Although very simple and basic I think it would make a perfect addition to any home. On the fireplace, sideboard or maybe the vanity unit.
