5 Easy Ways to Stay Hydrated During the Summer

Staying hydrated is so important in the summer when temperatures can soar. It’s easy to get heat exhaustion without realizing so, for that reason, I thought I’d share some delicious and easy ways to stay hydrated during the warmer months!

Infused Water

Whether you add in fruit, mint, or chia seeds, this makes water both more flavorful and a little more exciting!

Coconut Water

Coconut has tons of potassium and electrolytes. It a great low-sugar option for those who enjoy the benefits of sports drinks like gaterade, but maybe want a healthier choice.

Smoothies

Hydrating smoothies are the ones rich in fruits and vegetables! Given that most produce is high in water content (watermelon is 90% water, for instance), this will help keep you hydrated, satisfied and healthy.

Fruits and Vegetables

There are a number of fruits and vegetables that have high water content and those are the ones that will help keep your body optimally hydrated. Some of my favorite water-rich foods include watermelon, pineapple, berries, cucumbers, celery, mixed greens, and carrots.

Iced Tea

If water isn’t really your thing and you prefer something with some flavor (and caffeine!), then I recommend giving Iced Tea a go. Iced tea can help keep you hydrated and tropical teas, green teas, and even black teas offer some delicious flavors if you’re tired of trying to chug water all day.
