Georgina’s Beauty Awards 2023

Welcome to the first-ever Georgina’s Beauty Awards! I thought this would be a fun way to show off some of my favourite products of the year so I popped on a fancy frock and filmed it too. I haven’t included skincare products, mostly just makeup and then a perfume at the end but let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in. I also have a post coming up of my entire fragrance collection so keep watching out for that too. Without further ado, here are the winners of the first-ever Georgina’s Beauty Awards 2023! Georgina’s Beauty Awards 2023 Winners Best Moisturiser/Primer: Primark Beauty PS…Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer – £4.50 You might have already seen this on 30 different viral TikTok videos as this is the dupe for the Bobbi Brown Vitamin E Primer, which is the main reason why I tried it. I really wish I had got it sooner as it’s just absolutely beautiful to use, it creates a stunningly soft and moisturised base which is perfect for applying makeup and blending products together seamlessly. I’ve almost gone through the entire pot and I’ve already got another waiting nearby! I definitely wouldn’t be without it now. I’ve asked others who have tried both the Primark and the Bobbi Brown Version and they’ve completely switched over to the Primark version! I think that says it all really. Don’t worry if you head into a store and see the pink version, it’s for Breast Cancer Awareness and it’s the same product. Best Base: Erborian Super BB – £41.00 You’ve probably seen this in all my videos or captions. It is absolutely fantastic, and the best part is that it was designed for oily spot-prone skin, so it’s actually made with ingredients that help you to not break out whilst wearing it. My skin always looks great using this! I do say it all the time that I really wish it would come in more shades as currently, I have to mix a blue pigment (L.A Girl) and a whiter concealer in it to make the shade match, but that’s how good this base is, it’s worth the effort! If they happened to bring out my perfect shade though, I don’t think I’d look at another foundation product again. Also, don’t be put off by the price, you don’t need a lot as the coverage is very high and it’s very blendable. Best Concealer: Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer – £9.99 When I found the lighter shade of 095, I haven’t looked at another concealer since. Now I’m using a blue pigment to get the right undertone for my skin colour, I’ve just noticed everything pulls so yellow! This shade is called Cool Ivory and it’s absolute perfection for pale people. I mix it in with my base or use it as just concealer where I need it. A great product and I am going through tubes of it so quickly! Best Powder: HNB Cosmetics Loose Powder – £13.50 I have never before used up an entire loose powder, they stay in my makeup for years until I eventually give up and give them away, but I’m actually in need of my third one from HNB! I absolutely love it, and I never thought I could stray from a pressed powder but it’s just so beautiful and flawless, bluring perfection! I use shade fair for reference and it doesn’t darker my base at all. Definitely deserving of a beauty award. Best Highlighter: Primark Beauty PS Single Glow Highlighter – £3.50 Basically in this post, I’m telling you to go to Primark. There’s only been the odd thing that hasn’t impressed, everything else has been amazing. Including these highlighter bricks. At £3.50 it’s just ridiculously good! Best Mascara: Huda Beauty One Coat Mascara – £20 This mascara is no joke, one coat is really all you need! 1.5 coats is far too much most of the time so make sure you get a really good even coat the first time around and try not to be too shocked about how big your eyelashes look! it’s seriously impressive and I really didn’t realise how many bottom eyelashes I had until using this mascara! Best Eye Glitter: Urban Decay Moondust in Space Cowboy – £20 Very specifically the shade Space Cowboy, it’s utterly amazing. I use it as a glitter topper across any look, on it’s own, as the main glitter, you get the idea it’s just utterly gorgeous! I can never get it to show up on camera but in person you absolutely sparkle and it’s so beautiful. Best Setting Spray: Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray – £30 I’m on about my third bottle of this now and I think it’s so beautiful to really fuse your makeup together and so great when you’ve gone a little heavy on the powders. Although I’m not sure if it keeps my makeup on any longer as usually I do pretty well with that anyway. Best Liquid Lipstick: KVD Everlasting Hyperlight Transfer-Proof Liquid Lipstick – £19 Honestly, it was between this and Fenty but I really have had so many compliments every time I’ve worn Queen of Poisons this year, it’s such a beautiful shade and I love the name too! It wears really well and overall is just a great lipstick, I wish they had a darker cool-toned red! Best Eyelashes: Primark Beauty At this point, I feel like you could have guessed there would be another Primark winner. I’m used to spending £10 on a pair of lashes and depending on how I take them off and store them, sometimes they can be a one-use or a 20-use pair. Primark lashes are a couple of pounds each, great quality and I’ve not had a bad lash from them yet! Best Hairbrush: Rehab Vital Hair Brush – £16 I’ve really invested in my hair health this year and I loved the look of the oil capsules so I thought I’d try out a […]
