Cosmo Sheffield has had a refurb! I can hardly remember how it looked before but it is very fancy now. It was so great to see somewhere actually busy as most times when we’ve been dining out, it’s been so quiet. There was such a diverse range of people there from having a quiet meal to big celebrations, Cosmo can cater to everything, making it the perfect place for your Christmas festivities! Cosmo Sheffield’s Refurbishment: Cosmo Sheffield, located in the heart of the city, recently underwent a refurbishment that has taken its charm to new heights. The moment you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a stylish and very modern interior, there is a huge waiting area but it definitely needs some seating as they like to stick to the slot times, which means if you’re a little early there’s nowhere to sit down. Wheelchair Accessibility: As someone who uses a wheelchair, I understand the importance of accessibility. That’s why I was thrilled to discover that I could get around easily and get everything myself too with minimal help. If my arms were stronger I would have been able to do it fully myself. We were seated on the edge which gave us better access but the tables were very close together. Hopefully, they do this for all wheelchair users though and then there isn’t much of a problem at all! I do want to point out I didn’t use the accessible toilet so I can’t comment on them unfortunately. Teppanyaki Bar: One of the standout features of Cosmo Sheffield is the interactive bar where skilled chefs cook dishes right in front of you. This unique experience not only enhances the visual appeal of your meal but also adds an element of excitement and entertainment. Watching the chefs skillfully prepare a variety of foods adds a little more excitement. I had some fresh prawns made that were really nice! Delectable Desserts: No Christmas celebration is complete without indulging in some mouthwatering desserts, and Cosmo Sheffield knows just how to satisfy your sweet tooth. Their dessert section is a paradise for dessert lovers, offering an extensive selection of cakes, pastries, ice cream, and more. From traditional desserts to an help yourself ice cream bar, there’s something to please every taste bud. The apple crumble was delicious! Cocktails: I was actually really surprised to see such a great range of cocktails! I only had one but I wish I had ordered more because they were really delicious and at a great price too. So, what did we think about the food? I enjoyed the sushi bar, duck hoisin wraps, and how many prawn options there were. Obviously it goes without saying but with buffet food, you’re always going to deal with not-amazing temperatures or freshness but I thought it was mostly good and it’s a good price too. If you’re local in Sheffield and haven’t been for a while it’s worth trying and supporting, there’s a new Christmas dinner section for December too which is very exciting and definitely something to check out. Everyone seemed really happy and like they were enjoying their food too which was nice to see!
