Outsmart Beauty Mess Ups!

It doesn’t matter how long we ladies have been applying makeup or doing our Hair, we still somehow manage to screw up every once in a while. Well, for every mess up, there is a solution.

-No matter how steady our hands are, still finds a way to end up crooked. Place your dominant arm (the one you use to apply the eyeliner) on the counter in front of your bathroom mirror. This keeps your hand steady when you go to line your eyes. Use your other hand to draw your eye taut so you have a smooth surface when you paint on the liner.

-Razor Burn is the bane of our existences. While changing the blade will help, here’s another way to banish painful razor burn. Apply a thin layer of plain yogurt to the red area and let it set for three minutes. Rinse with cool water and gently towel dry. Yogurt contains lactic acid which soothes skin by softly exfoliating the top layer of skin, the layer with the razor burn.

-If you’ve tried self-tanning lotions, you may have found that it’s easy to overboard with the applications. Because the color often takes a few hours to show up, you may have “helped” the color along in the meantime. To tone down an overly dark self-tan, exfoliate! Your skin naturally exfoliates itself every few days, but you can speed the process up by taking a loofah sponge and a moisturizing body wash in the shower with you and gently scrub the color away.

-Summer has a way of bringing people to the beach for days of sun-filled fun. Unfortunately, the sun has a nasty way of damaging hair, especially if it’s dyed. You can fix sun damaged hair by conditioning your hair with a formula loaded with vitamin C. Vitamin C seeks to fortify the hair cuticle and strengthening your locks against the sun’s UV rays.

-Mascara makes eyes look great by drawing attention to your long lashes. However, before it dries, it has a tendency of getting on your eye lids or on your under-eye area. Instead of using a cotton ball or tissue to clean up, use a Q-Tip. It’s designed to reach small crevices where your finger may not be able to adequately reach. Soak one end of the Q-Tip in eye makeup remover, then dab over the area where you want to remove the added mascara. It effectively removes the unsightly marks without disturbing the rest of your eye makeup.
