Juvia's Place Blush and Highlighter Brush Bundle

To start off my Juvia's Place reviews, I thought I'd go in head first with the Blush bundle and highlighter Brush. The brush comes with the bundle! Below are my thoughts and swatches of all three - the brush, the Serafina blush, and the Bella blush. Juvia's Place is a black female-owned (Chichi Eburu is her name) business who gives a portion of their proceeds to minority-led initiatives, according to their website.

Let me know if you've ordered from Juvia's Place before and what you got. Have you heard of this brand before? I'm happy to have some of their items in my collection now and can't wait to share the rest of my two orders with you. They're all eyeshadow palettes, because I couldn't resist and also I obviously think I have more than two eyes at the amount of eyeshadows I own. But those are for later days, for now let's get to the blushes!

The blush packaging matches the outer boxes and have mirrors! It's magnetized cardboard, but it feels sturdy and the blushes are a nice big size at 10g. Juvia's Place does say they are cruelty free. There is absolutely no scent to them.

At first glance, online and in real life, I thought I would like Serafina the most and I do. It is just in the shade family that I prefer and am more comfortable with. That does not mean that I don't like Bella, because I do. I think it might work better for me during the winter months when I like rosy cheeks. It's a color that I think would be gorgeous on darker skin. Serafina leans more towards peachy, while Bella is more on the coral side of shades.

These are very pigmented and a little goes a long way, especially Bella on my fair skin. They last all day for me. Both are matte. If you like blush that makes an impact, you're going to like these.

The highlighter brush is so soft and made with synthetic bristles and has a wooden handle. The ferrule (metal part) feels sturdy and not lose at all. It's light in the hand and while it's sold with the blushes, I do prefer it with highlights. If you're looking for a quality brush to highlight with, this checks off all the boxes. Can you use it with blushes and other powders? Of course. I just think it really shines at applying highlighter. On a shallow point, the magenta color doesn't hurt matters!

The blush and brush bundle sales for $30, but is often on sale making it a better deal than buying all three separately. The blushes can be bought separately at $10 each. The highlighter brush, branded as the Face Blending Brush on the website, sales for $10. When this bundle is on sale and paired with a coupon code, this is the way to go. When I ordered mine, I got it on sale at $15 and used a coupon code, getting it for just over $10! I'm really happy with this bundle.

My only complaint is the shipping time. I don't know if it's because both orders I made were during this pandemic or maybe because I'm in Canada and Juvia's Place is based in the US and maybe that altered the shipping times. I did see that I'm not the only one that has had that issue, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. It all arrived and was packaged well - not a single item damaged. Shipping was affordable to Canada at $8 US and did not change with the weight of the package. I also had no customs or duties charges. If only more US companies had shipping rates like that!
