DIY Wedding Craft Ideas with Design Bundles

As I am currently in the process of planning my Wedding, I have found that a new love for DIY and designing things unique for my hen do and wedding day. Plus, it can actually end up being cheaper than paying another person to do it for you as long as you have the right tools. For example I have recently discovered Design Bundles which offer affordable digital products such as graphics, templates, mock ups, patterns, illustrations and craft files for you to download and be as creative as you like.

Design bundles even have a set of sixty wedding Svg Cut images of rings, wedding couples, wedding cakes, families, dogs and wedding musicians. All the images have a transparent background and can be used on a variety of wedding items including photo frames, signs, favours, mugs plus the all important invitations. The list of DIY wedding items is endless I will show you some of them below.

What is SVG cut file and how do you use it?

SVG is short for Scalable Vector Graphic. In contrast to being designed in pixels, like a JPG or PNG, it is created using lines and points and it can be scaled to different sizes without reducing the quality.

SVG cuts can be used on an electronic cutting machine like a Cricut or Silhouette which are perfect for creating amazing designs for your wedding. The cutting machine works by the blade cutting lines and turns at certain points on your desired material. This is what makes Svg Cut Files perfect for a cutting machine!

To edit the SVG cut files you can use software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Animate. And to use them you simply download the SVG file and import it into your machines software, then you create a project in the software by adding it to your grid.

There are plenty of video tutorials on YouTube depending on what machine you buy to help you get started with your wedding DIY.

Creating unique wedding invites with an SVG cut file
The wedding invites are always at the top of your agenda once you've decided on a date and booked your venue. It's the first chance you get to make a great impression on your guests so you want the invite to be informative but still have a lovely aesthetic. By making them yourself with an SVG cut file you can have a fancy laser cut card or even have your names cut out to add a 3D affect.

Create wedding signage with an SVG cut file

When it comes to your wedding day, you'll need plenty of signage including a welcome to our wedding sign, seating plan, order of the day the list is endless. But you'll sometimes find that suppliers don't do the exact theme to match your wedding so how about making it yourself! For example, if you have a barn style wedding you may want a wooden sign which is easy to make with adhesive vinyl as it will stick to many types of wood.

Creating a wedding mug with an SVG cut file

With all the wedding planning, sometimes you just want to treat yourself so how about a cute wedding mug that you can use time and time again for those morning cups of tea or coffee. You could even take it on your hen do. Just download your SVG file, remember to m
easure the mug you're using and then scale the design to fit. Place your vinyl in your cutting machine, cut away then apply the adhesive vinyl to your mug in a matter of minutes.

Creating hen do t-shirts with an SVG cut file

When you have many people attending your hen do buying matching t-shirts can add up so why not buy plain t-shirts and make them yourself? Once you have your desired slogan, you can upload the SVG file to your cutting machines operating program and simply apply it to your t-shirt with iron on vinyl.

Create wedding favour boxes with an SVG cut file

With wedding guest lists, the numbers can add up which means the more wedding favours you have to buy. A cheaper way to make wedding favours is with sweets or chocolates inside a card based box. Just download the laser style SVG file, have your desired card ready then use your cutting machine. Once cut out, fold the flaps together, stick your treats inside, and there you have some lovely DIY favours.
