Spring Fling

Spring has finally arrived and I couldn't be more happy! Actually I take that back because with the arrival of Spring, the razors come out too and if you know me, you know that I cut myself every time there's a razor near my skin and I have scars to prove that (battle scars as I like to call them because shaving your legs is like a war). All negative thoughts aside; I genuinely love spring because of the Cherry Blossoms that are in full bloom. I have spent a good 5 years of my life trying to convince my parents to plant a Cherry Blossom Tree in our too-huge garden but in vain. Each year, my mum says something ridiculous like 'I don't see you watering the plants' or 'how about you start cleaning your room first'. How in the world does cleaning my room have anything to do with planting a cherry blossom tree? Asian parent logic. But honestly, cherry blossoms make me feel calm and collected, probably because I've always thought that if cherry blossoms would have a personality, they would be filled with gentleness and serenity.

Now, for a bit more about this look:

I've paired white lace up block heels with a flowy blue dress that screams spring along with a silver choker in the shape of several flowers. I wasn't sure if I wanted to layer a crocheted white cardigan on top but at the last minute I decided that the long sleeves of the dress needed to be seen because people don't appreciate long-sleeved dresses as much as they should. In my opinion, they add a hint of class to the whole look and are really convenient if spring in your country is anything like it is in New Zealand- mildly cold.
