Happy Thursday! It’s been a busy week here – and the weather has been so nice, making every day a joy to be outside! Yesterday, I loved taking a stroll through my favorite NYC neighborhood of Nolita after a client shopping session, and snapped some Outfit pics in my favorite new dress. It’s a Shirt Dress – which is such an easy silhouette for Summertime – and I highly recommend it to most of my clients as it works for virtually any body type – with it’s emphasis on the waist contributing to a balanced shape.
Here are the exact ingredients to this outfit formula:
- The Shirt Dress. I found this new (to me) brand Xirena on Shopbop- and totally fell in love with their Cate Shirt Dress. I got it in this stunning pink – which makes me really happy and pops against all the Summer colors.
- A Structured Cross-Body Bag. I’m styling this Polene Numero Un Nano Bag with so many outfits this Season. I previously featured it here – with a different dress. I think it picks up the feel of whatever outfit you put it with – in this case looking very feminine and city-appropriate – even edgy (check out the grungy wall pic).
- The White Flat Sandals. I’m wearing these Margaux flat sandals a lot too – I love the simple white straps and how they compliment all Summer colors. You can grab yours via carousel below. Here is another outfit I styled them with recently.
- A Branded Belt. While I’m not a huge fan of overt branding on clothes and accessories, I will admit that a luxury item like a belt can really upgrade your outfit and make it look more luxe. I love the color of this Gucci belt – and the width that nicely brings attention to the waist. I also love swapping out the belts that shirt dresses come with by design with something more statement – I think it really transforms the look of the outfit.
