Books, Books & Books!

First of all, I just want to say that I'm so thankful to every person who comes to me and praises my blog. It means a lot to me! It means that I have amazing people who value what I do and support me.

Without further ado, lets get straight to the point.
I love reading since I was little girl! I'm completely obsessed with books, they are my alternate world.
When I am reading, I enter in a new universe, they open the doors for my imagination and allow me to live a different life.
Books make me feel so peaceful and calm, and I can spend 4 hours browsing in those words, imagining every detail, it's my own story where I can choose the actors and the stage, where I can be another person even just by a few days. It is my little home where I will live forever.
I have literally three giant bookcases full of books! Since romance until fiction or mystery and historical books. I still do not read them all, but there's still time for that, right?
My favorite types of books are the fiction and romance because I think they are the best choice that enables us to visualize and describe what's happening. But historical books... I don't like to read, like The Diary Of Anne Frank, because they portray too well the cruelty of those times and the reality. for that, I have the documentaries on the TV.
Also, because of reading, I develop my capacity to write, so I really enjoy writing. Because of that, if I don't go to psychology, probably I will go to literature.

My ultimate favorite book ever is When the snow falls (in Portuguese: Quando a Neve Cai) by John Green, Maureen Johnson & Lauren Myracle. Actually, it was my mother who gave me the book at Christmas - by the way, thanks mommy :P ♥ - at the beginning, I found it odd, as always happens to me, because I was so absorbed with the story of the book that I was reading previously, which became strange to read something totally different, but, as I was saying, at the beginning it was weird, but after a while I fell in love with this book! The book is like three stories that interrelate themselves and form one single story. Really cool, isn't it?! Of course, my favorite tale was John Green! But the other writers are also not bad. It's like teen romance, exactly what I like, happiness and love! If you want to purchase it, click here.

Another good book is the House of Night (in Portuguese: Casa da Noite) by Kristin Cast. Yes, I'm crazy about supernatural creatures, so embarrassing XD it is a collection of twelve books, a lot, I know, but if you read once, you become instantly obsessed and you'll want to buy all the remaining books! The story happens in a school of vampires, obviously :P and you have one girl and one boy that fall in love with each other, but yet the school is invaded by a malefic power and they've to live and fight this evil. I, to my regret, spotted in the seventh book because of some complications which happened at the time, but I plan to return to read it! If you want to purchase the first book, click here.

Another from the same kind of book is Everninght by Claudia Gray. It is the same type of story, of course, with their adaptation, but it will be all the same. This consists by three books, I just have the first one, but I am desirous to have the others! If you want to purchase the first book, click here (enjoy it because it is just for 3€, unbelievable!).

Three books that I'm desperate to buy are Where She Went (in Portuguese: Espera Por Mim) by Gayle Forman; Enders (in Portuguese: A Revelação) by Lissa Price & Walking Disaster (in Portuguese: A Caminhar Para o Desastre) by Jamie Mcguire.
When I saw the movie If I Stay, I was thinking "I HAVE TO BUY THE SECOND BOOK!!!". The first movie of the first book is already so inspiring that the second book should be even more! The movie of If  I Stay portrays the book perfectly! It's about a girl who is musician, she plays cello, and she has a great family, united and stable, then she meets a guy, named Adam, who plays guitar and sings in a punk band, the opposite of her, however, they love each other so much! But, unexpectedly, she and her family suffer a car accident and she has to choose if stays or "goes" with her family. It is a pretty intense book and I really recommend the movie! The second book is about her, three years after this accident and after she kept Adam away from her life without giving explanations. Until one night, when their ways cross in New York City, and both of them have the opportunity to open up their hearts again. So freaking awesome! If you want to purchase the first book, click here; and the second book, click here.

Enders is the second book of two from the Started collection (in Portuguese: Destinos Interrompidos).
"Everything started in a near-future Los Angeles, when becoming someone else is now possible. Sixteen-year-old Callie discovers the Body Bank where teens, called Starters, rent their bodies to seniors, called Enders, who want to be young again. But when her neurochip malfunctions, she wakes up in the mansion of her rich renter and finds she is going out with a senator’s grandson. It’s a fairy-tale new life, until she discovers her renter’s deadly plan." At this moment, you must be willing to buy this book, but you also have the second one! The review of the second is basically: "Someone is after Starters like Callie and Michael—teens with chips in their brains. They want to experiment on anyone left over from Prime Destinations—Starters who can be controlled and manipulated. With the body bank destroyed, Callie no longer has to rent herself out to creepy Enders. But Enders can still get inside her mind and make her do things she doesn't want to do. Like hurt someone she loves. Having the chip removed could save her life—but it could also silence the voice in her head that might belong to her father. Callie has flashes of her ex-renter Helena's memories, too . . . and the Old Man is back, filling her with fear. Who is real and who is masquerading in a teen body? No one is ever who they appear to be, not even the Old Man. Determined to find out who he really is and grasping at the hope of a normal life for herself and her younger brother, Callie is ready to fight for the truth. Even if it kills her."

I remember perfectly the day I bought Beautiful Disaster: I went to Bertrand and I asked the boy who was there if they had a book like "teen love and fiction", because I had just finished the book from the collection House of Night and I wanted something of the same sort, so he gave me the Beautiful Disaster, and when I got home and started reading, it was only like university students, you should already be imagining: alcohol, fights, addictions and a lot of explicit stuff, I just thought "What the hell is this?!"! So, thank you very much for being so helpful and for giving me exactly what I asked for! XD Continuing... The book talks about a girl and: "Abby Abernathy doesn't drink or swear and she works hard. Abby believes she has created enough distance between her and the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college, her dreams of a new beginning are quickly challenged by the university's walking one-night stand. Bad Boy, Travis Maddox, handsome, built, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs - and wants - to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight club, and his days as the notorious college Lothario. A disaster waiting to happen... Intrigued by Abby's resistance to his charms, Travis tricks her into his life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain celibate for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis' apartment for the same amount of time. Or the start of something beautiful? Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match. Or that this is the start of an obsessive, intense relationship that will lead them both into unimaginable territory..."
At the end of the book, I really thanked the boy for giving it to me. :P After I read this underflow book, as it is obvious, I want read the second book, but at this time, the book is told from bad boy Travis' point of view. And finally I come to the end of this huge post!

I hope you enjoy it!
