They may be dating less than a year but Pippa Middleton is set to tie the knot with beau James Matthews.
The socialite, who almost stole the show at sister Kate’s wedding to Prince William, began her relationship with James (brother of Made In Chelsea‘s Spencer Matthews) shortly after splitting from long-term love Nico Jackson last October.
News of the Engagement broke last night, with reports suggesting that the millionaire Hedge Fund Manager had gone down on one knee during a trip to the Lake District.

While Pippa was said to be “completely surprised” by the gesture, she quickly accepted and was snapped in London today wearing a stunning Art Deco engagement ring.
The £200,000 five carat asscher diamond is said to have been specially designed for the party planner and her 40-year-old fiancé reportedly asked her father for permission before popping the question.
“James is a traditionalist and very much wanted to do things properly. That meant getting his future father in law’s consent,” a source told The Daily Mail.

Pippa’s big sister Kate was among the first to congratulate the pair on their happy news, with Kensington Palace releasing a statement to say that “the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are absolutely delighted with the news”.
