Nails Fashion changed during the years?

Yes, of course, nails changed of shape and color depending on the economic, historical and political period.

Imagine that the first modern nail polish born in 1920. Michelle Manard had the ingenious idea to adapt the car paint and developed a lacquer really similar to the one we use today.

The first modern manicure was known as the “moon manicure”: polish was applied to the nail but not to the moon and tip.

During the 1950s there was the use of the colour red, red and more red.

In the 1960s the red colour turned to paler and pastel shades.

In the 1970s some stars, like Mia Farrow and Farrah Fawcett, made a more natural shade modern.

In the 1980s the must have colours were reds, fuchsias and neon colours.

The 1990s see one single nail color: Rouge Noir/Vamp.
