Poltrona Frau Vanity Fair

Poltrona Frau Vanity Fair is the iconic model of armchair in design, ideated in 1930 by Renzo Frau.
This armchair appeared the first time in the Poltrona Frau’s catalogue under the name “904”, only a number, and it was made of red leather.
The name Vanity Fair arrived later, only in 1984, as a tribute to the famous fashion magazine born at the beginning of 1900.
Poltrona Frau Vanity Fair armchair became the archetype of the modern armchairs, known worldwide, with its rounded pattern and the long line of leather-covered pins that refinish the back and the arms.
This armchair is produced in Tolentino by artisans and with the best Italian leather. You can choose it in different colours, but the one I prefer is red!
To create a Vanity Fair armchair it takes 21 hours of work, 9 mq of leather, 19 kg of seasoned beech, 48 biconic steel springs, 12 meters of cord, 20 meters of jute belt, 7 kg of vegetal horsehair, 5 kg of goose down, 275 leather covered pins, 20 meters of seams, 10 meters of thread.
