Summer is my favorite season- I love the warm weather and being fresh faced because a tan makes everyone’s Skin look amazing. I tend to keep my Makeup really minimal in the warmer months, but I also like to have some easy products on hand for those times when I want to look a little more put together.

Glossier Wowder Duo

I picked up the Wowder Duo, which contains the Wowder Finishing Powder and Wowder Brush. This powder had been on my wishlist since it first came out because it sounds like the perfect powder for me-  it cuts shine, sets makeup, and blurs the appearance of pores. I like that this is a step up from other finishing powders since it is tinted, and can therefore be used on it’s own as opposed to just over a base product. I have combination skin, with dry cheeks and an oily t-zone, so I need something that will work for both types and skin and this one will. So far, I have used it on both my bare face as well as over a tinted moisturizer and both ways seem to work well.

Glossier Generation G, Jam

Another product sure to be on heavy rotation this summer (especially once baby comes!), is this Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick in the color Jam, a deep berry magenta. I like the Generation G lipsticks because they provide a sheer wash of color that can easily be layered for a more intense look, while remaining moisturizing. Jam is a darker color than I normally go for in the summer, however it is sheer so I think it will work with light applications.

Benefit Blush, Dallas

I was in a wedding a few months ago, and my friend had the genius idea to have us all get our makeup done at a Benefit store, and we all got to pick out a few items to take home with us. Naturally, I picked up the lip products so I could keep my makeup fresh throughout the night, but I also decided to buy the blush they used on me because I was really happy with the way my makeup looked. This color is described as a rosy bronze, which means it works wonderfully as a blush/bronzer combo.On my medium skintone, it looks very natural and gives my skin a beautiful glow. I think this may be my new favorite Benefit product, and Benefit is one of my favorite brands!

Pixi Glow Mist

This is a multi-use mist that can be used to set and refresh makeup, and hydrate skin. Additionally, it can be used on hair to add extra shine. I like the idea of a truly do-all mist that works equally as well on skin as it does on hair. I’m excited to have a product like this in my rotation.

Caudalie Eau de Beuate Beauty Elixir

Over the years I have accumulated a few of these from various Sephora Favorites kits, but I never really used them. From their claims, it’s a do-all product: sets makeup, provides instant radiance, and tightens pores. I’m wary of any product that has so many claims, so I chose to use this only for the instant radiance, when I am in need of a pick-me-up. I spray it after I do my makeup before heading out for the day. I don’t know if it adds any radiance, but I do find it refreshing!
