Vintage Style Inspiration

This week, in the start of a new regular theme of blog posts; we have taken one item of original Vintage clothing from our vast range and are going to showcase it in three different ways.

I’m sure you’ve been there before. You see an amazing vintage item, you love the colour, the Style, the print or all three! I have that urge to own it but suddenly find yourself with absolutely no idea what to wear it with or for what occasion. It can be such a frustrating and annoying feeling when you just need that little bit of style inspiration. Well your vintage fairy godmother is here to help you with just that!

This week, we have chosen this super cool and colourful early 90s vintage blouse.

With it’s awesome tones of blue, pink, yellow, green, black and red; this button front round neck vintage top can be worn in many ways to create a whole spectrum of modern looks.

We’ve chosen three styles – one for the weekend, one for a girls night out and one for the office. One vintage top, styled three different ways…

1) Something For the Weekend

First up, we have taken this original vintage top and created a look that is perfect for hanging out with friends, going on a lunch date or going shopping at the weekend.

We’ve taken some ripped mum jeans and added a fitted black turtleneck for the basis of this great casual outfit. Wearing the round neck blouse over the top will give a super cool layered look and the black suede loafers with work brilliantly. To finish off, a cute black leather backpack will reinforce that 2017 does 1993 look to perfection! This denim and black ensemble means that the bright colours of the vintage blouse can really pop in their own right. We absolutely love it!

2) Saturday Night Fever

For a girls night out, this outfit ticks all the boxes. Perfect for cocktails, giggles and dancing the night away…

It’s cute, fun and a little tongue in cheek. Combining this amazing vintage top with some black leather look trousers or leggings and a cute pair of pink platform heels. The earrings pick out the pink and green hues and the adorable LOL sequin clutch just finishes the look off perfectly as fun and funky retro chic! You’ll not only look fantastic but will also be super comfy to boot!

3) Working 9 til 5

We’ve picked out the mustard yellow colour in the top to create a chic and stylish workwear look that will be the envy of all your colleagues.

By adding a very simple black pencil skirt and picking out the rich warm ocre hue, we’ve added a gorgeous handbag and stiletto heels as well as a cute belt to finish off and pull the look together. It’s a beauty!
