When you look at modern day Fashion it really isn’t all that unusual to see items that are outside of the fashion box. Tailoring was a big part of the 1960s fashion choices and this really shows in the clothes that we wear now a days that take inspiration from this time. Ladies such as Jackie Kennedy helped to inspire a generation of suit wearing females and smart clothing.

Although tailoring stayed around for the whole of the 1960s, during the later part of this decade we started to see miniskirts coming into fashion. This involved women wearing pencil style skirts and big, bold tailored tops with perhaps larger shoulder pads to finish off the outfit.

Colour and Pattern

One thing that this time was known for was big, bold colours and patterns. For accessories and style to finish the look off you should look at adding big hair, false eye lashes and bold make up, with plenty of glitter.
