Schiaparelli Fall 2016/17 Couture Highlights

I'm going to start off by saying that this is one of my Favourite collections to come out recently. The colours, shapes, patterns, textures and details are all so beautiful and together creates works of art. My favourite pieces are definitely the outerwear, which if I had my hands on, I would be wearing even though I live in a small-ish town and it is 28 degrees in winter here.

I am completely obsessed with these pants/jumpsuit. The jewel tones are so beautiful and the pattern is interesting and bold without being way too overwhelming (at least, in my opinion). This is definitely one of my favourite looks from the show.

This was definitely one of the more toned down looks from the show, but the gold face detail on the jacket just makes it. I Love that they included a more wearable piece which could easily fit into anyones wardrobes.

The jacket and jumpsuit combo here is the combo of my dreams. I love how the shapes on the front make it look like the jacket has a butterfly on the front of it, and how it puffs out. I even love the kind of ruching detail on the sleeves. Again, this is one of my favourites, mostly because the jumpsuit has a similar pattern to the amazing pants, but it has Bright red on it too.

As I mentioned above, my favourite thing about this collection was the outerwear, and I mean, just look at that coat. The shape, colours, and patterns are just completely beautiful. I also even love the Dress which kinda looks like pink tinsel.

Again, the outerwear was my favourite, and again the colours and pattern on this coat is gorgeous. The matching pants are also equally as gorgeous, and I would wear them in two seconds. Honestly the colour choices for this collection were perfect, and the runway complimented the looks so well.

Another suit look that would perfectly fit in anyones wardrobe, but again, the jacket has a bit of a twist. I love the little embroidered pictures on it, it's so cute and adds some colour and fun into an otherwise basic black blazer.

This is honestly a work of art. I don't really know what else to say, it's just so beautiful and interesting to look at. I love it.

Now for the dresses which were also super beautiful, including this one that has a bright coloured bird wrapping around it. Usually I hate bright colours, but having the dress be mostly black makes it bearable for me, and to be honest, the detailing of the bird is so beautiful I don't care how bright it is. I also really love the splatters of colour all over it that look like fireworks.

As you all know, red it one of my favourite colours so obviously this is a favourite of mine. I love the contrast of both the colours and fabric, and the butterfly detail flowing throughout the sheer fabric.

My second favourite dress, mostly because of the colours and pattern. It is just so beautiful and bold without being bright and overbearing. I personally am not one for too much obnoxious, bright colours, so to me this is a perfect statement piece. I especially love the sheer panel at the top that breaks up the thick, patterned fabric and slightly softens the look up.

I'm ending this post with my favourite dress from the collection because this is one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen in my life. The shape and cut-outs at the top are so cool and the silver/white detail running throughout the fabric is beautiful and makes it look slightly like marble. Again, the colour of the dress is perfect, blue is one of my favourite colours, and the contrast of sheer fabric add a nice detail.
