Channel Fall 2016/17 Couture Highlights

This collection was Amazing and I surprisingly loved it. 'Surprisingly' because Channel is not one of my all time favourite labels, which is probably a shock to many people but it's true. I'm definitely more of a Gucci kinda person, but anyway, here are my personal highlights from the show out of the 71 looks that were seen on the runway. I tried to keep this short, and had to cut out a lot of looks because it was just getting far, far too long.

This two piece set is amazing. The colours, the shape, I just love it. I also love how they included no accessories in the show, and kept all the shoes, hairbands and gloves/sleeves black to really draw all the attention to the pieces.

I absolutely love the colour of this coat and how they made the piece the main focus of the look by pairing it with all black.

One thing I especially loved about this collection was the floral detailing. They just add something extra, and I Love Love Love the culottes.

Again, more floral detailing. This time the florals were more linear, travelling down the front of the pants and across the bottom of the top which is such a cool shape. I also absolutely love the colours of the florals and how they don't stand out too much.

The layers of this dress is what I love most about it. The three tiers also have the florals that were a heavy feature of this collection.

More linear patterns of florals, but this time the colours definitely contrast more to the black/grey fabric of the pants and top. I love that the florals kinda make it look like the pieces have layers. This was definitely one of my favourites.

Can you guess one of the reasons I love this look so much? Yes, the red skirt that puffs out of the structured top (which is also amazing).

Another one of my favourites, and it's pretty obvious why. The colours and pattern of this dress were, in my opinion, the most beautiful and interesting and I don't know why they didn't use this pattern more throughout the collection. I would have loved to have seen it maybe on some pants or a top.

I Love Love love the colour of this skirt, and how flowy it is and the pleats. It's beautiful. The top is also equally as beautiful and the yellow perfectly compliment the muted, pale blue/grey.

The shape and panelling in this dress is what makes it so interesting to look at. The mix of sheer, black and embellished fabric is used so well here.

I adore this dress. It's definitely a lot more 'girly' than my usual personal taste is, but something about it just makes me go 'wow'. I love how the skirt and sleeves flow out of the top, which is covered in floral detailing. I also love the extra detailing with the singular, small stripes of floral across the sleeves and skirts.

There is not much to say about this look except that the top is absolutely beautiful.

Usually this would be something I'd hate but...I don't know why it is, but I love this dress. Something about it just makes me want to keep looking at it, which is usually a good sign so....
