Helmut Lang Resort 2017 Highlights

This is definitely another favourite resort Collection of mine, so I just had to make a quick highlights post on it. The Helmut Lang Resort 2017 collection is simple, clean and minimalistic, but still really beautiful, and, obviously, really wearable for the everyday person. Black, sand and beige were the primary colour palette, but there was a pop of colour.

As with most collections this season, there was at least one slip dress, and other hints of the 'lingerie as clothes' trend. I Love the beautiful soft colour of this dress, paired with the black lace trimming on the bottom. Having the dress layered over a basic shirt makes it much more wearable, and I can totally see myself wearing something like this.

This looks also featured lace trimming, but wasn't as soft as the previous look. The knee high black boots are amazing and I love the shape of the top. The skirt breaks up all of the black and adds a feminine touch that I think is beautiful and makes this look a lot more interesting.

This is the last look that I chose that features the lace/a lingerie inspired piece. The cami is beautiful and something I would love in my closet (though I would pair it with a top underneath). The pants are also really cool, and I love the colour. Having a jacket tied around the waist definitely makes this outfit look more casual, which makes the look suitable for everyday wear.

Another beautiful look. I love the skirt and how it has this kind of layered fringing detail on it to add something different to an otherwise simple black maxi. The top is also really beautiful and I love how the colour of it doesn't match the boots, which are a darker nude/sand colour. These boots are probably my favourite shoe from the collection, and this look is one of my favourites.

You probably guessed that this is my favourite look out of the whole collection. I mean, the pants are fucking amazing. It is such a simple outfit but the pop of red definitely makes it stand out. That being said, I can see myself wearing this look day to day if it wasn't so hot where I live. The sleeves of the top are also super interesting and different and I love the shape of them. It just adds something to an otherwise basic top.

This skirt is amazing. I was actually eyeing off a similar-ish one on asos the other day, so it's no surprise that I love it. The colour is beautiful and again, the sleeves on the top are just so cool and different. The shoes of the collection are also so amazing, and I especially love the shape of these flats.

I've noticed a trend of having a robe as a coat, and I never really loved it but for some reason I love this one? It could be the fur detailing, I honestly don't know, it's just working here. As I said above, I love these shoes and I love the stripes of white from the coat.

This is the last look I chose, and I mostly chose it because of the huge oversized vest and the fur. Even though the whole outfit is oversized and big, it doesn't swamp the model and look weird like it sometimes can when it comes to having a whole outfit of oversized pieces. It just looks really cool and I wish I could somehow pull this look off.
