Dior Cruise 2017 Highlights

I'm going to start off by saying I loved this Collection a whole lot more than the recent Louis Vuitton one, and I'm going to be using the word 'love' a lot in this post, just a warning.

The collection took place in Blenheim Palace with Bella Hadid taking the lead. Layering, clashing prints and slip dresses were what this collection was all about and it also took inspiration from Parisian style, with classic, chic menswear inspired pieces.

As I mentioned above, slip dresses were everywhere in this show, and are a major trend this season. This one is my favourite, and the clashing prints beautifully tie together to create a more interesting look than having just a plain black slip.

This is another beautiful dress that I love, but personally would never feel comfortable wearing. The colours and fabric are gorgeous and flow in the most amazing way.

Another slip dress, this time with pants layered underneath which I surprisingly love? I think it is mostly to do with the colours and the airiness of the look. If it were more structured it might look a bit weird.

This is my favourite way to style slip dresses, with something underneath. I would never be comfortable wearing basically lingerie by itself, but paired with a cool top like this one, it transforms the look and makes it more appropriate for daytime wear.

This is where the menswear element comes in. I love how oversized this outfit is and how it isn't super structured.

On the other hand this more structured blazer is also amazing, and the blue colour perfectly compliments the deep red shade of the dress. There's also more layering, with a patterned panel at the bottom which ties the look together and makes it not so basic.

These pants are probably my favourite thing in the collection, I love the print so much. The black vest breaks up the clashing prints and the earrings are a nice touch.

Kick flares are my favourite style of pant at the moment and somehow I love that these ones have been layered over a yellow wrap around miniskirt? It just works and I'm honestly not sure how because usually skirts/dresses layered over pants remind me of the early 2000's in a bad way. Maybe it's coming back, I don't know.

Again, more print clashing, but it isn't obnoxious as the colours are toned down. I also really love the glasses in this look.

Even more pattern clashing....and I love it. The patterns chosen in this collection aren't particularly loud, so it works and flows better.

I am a sucker for amazing two piece sets and I love the cut of the top. This outfit is basic compared to others in this show, but I still love it and had to include it.
