Just Add Honey Subscription Box Review & Promo Code

Oh, girls, I can tell you this past week has definitely left me in need of some serious me time!  I’ve had web hosting issues, a medical procedure, and lots of school work to catch up on.  Some weeks are so easy peasy and others are a royal pain in the bum bum!  TGIF is all I can say!  To help with my pamper me weekend Just Add Honey sent me exactly what I needed.

When I returned home from my tiny medical procedure Just Add Honey Tea Company had a lovely surprise for me sitting on my doorstep.  Perfect timing guys!   You have no clue how much I adore surprises and how much this picked up my spirits.  I’m thinking relaxing afternoons reading and sipping tea.  Nighttime with wine and a good movie?  This weekend is sounding better by the minute.  Recharge time girl style!  #staycation

The box  I received from Just Add Honey Tea Company is their  March subscription box.  It was sent for review in return for my honest opinion.  As an avid tea drinker, I was more than grateful to do so.  Let’s see what is inside this delish little box! I’ve been itching to dig in.

Inside The Box

Isn’t it just lovely inside?  The subscription box I received comes packed with 3 exclusive blends not offered on their website.  They are grown around the world, organic, and full loose leaf.  I’m not sure about you but I love loose leaf tea.  The difference is like cooking with fresh herbs or dried ones there is no comparison in flavor.  The blends are packaged in nicely labeled resealable bags which ensure freshness.

Also, inside my box was a jar of honey.  Just Add Honey sends raw honey from Amerian beekeepers.  Go American Pride buy USA!  I love companies that support USA brands and small business so major brownie points in my book.  I also love the taste of local honey as opposed to store bought and have purchased mine from farmers markets for years now.  Love how Just For Honey Tea Company gives you the opportunity to try honey from across America.  The flavors can vary depending on where the bees pollinate making each so unique.

The cutest gift was inside my box!  I received a package of wildflower seed paper.  What a wonderful idea for spring!  They were cutely shaped like flowers and each contained a few seeds.  The paper is biodegradable eco-paper and will break down allowing the seeds to grow.  Totally loving the green factor in this.  I planted my seeds just today in mini-planters in the house until it warms up outside.  Won’t my birds be delighted by the seeds the wildflowers produce!

Just Add Honey provides each box with a detailed card explaining the contents inside.  Such a wonderful idea for explaining more about each blend.  I enjoyed reading about the ingredients and where they can be found growing naturally.  The card also explains the caffeine content and if the tea is black, green, white, etc.  Quite a beautiful design and enjoyable read as it is beautifully written.  Then again I’m an information nut so…

The Blends

Go Green (Green Tea • Light Caffeine)

Ingredients:  Organic Green Tea, Lemon Myrtle, Ginseng

This blend had a delightfully crisp taste.  It would be a great pick me up cup when that after lunch slump kicks in.  I know as a blogger it always seems to hit just when I’m on a roll and then I’m grabbing for the tea cup.  This is light caffeine but the ginseng adds the punch I need for concentration and uplifting my spirits.  The lemon myrtle in this blend was a delightful addition with its crisp taste and citrus scent.

Spring Bouquet (Green Tea • Light Caffeine)

Ingredients:  Organic Green Tea, Chamomile, Organic Hibiscus, Calendula Flowers, Cornflower Petals, Cinnamon

This was by far my favorite blend.  Opening the bag you could smell cinnamon and see bits of flowers.  After the kettle let out a whistle and I poured the hot water over the blend I could smell the aroma of the tea.  When a tea does this I know it’s going to be fabulous.  Just one sip and I was sold on Spring Bouquet.  Adored the warming touch of cinnamon and the blend of chamomile, hibiscus, calendula, and cornflower.  Cinnamon is one of my favorite spices and it complimented this tea perfectly.  Adding the raw clover honey to this wonderful blend made it especially delightful and calming.

Lady Jasmine (Green Tea • Light Caffeine)

Ingredients:  Organic Jasmine Tea, Orange Peel, Almond Oil

This was a first for me as I’ve never had the opportunity to try a jasmine tea.  My first impression was that this blend smelled of citrus and almonds which looking at the bag I confirmed it included.  During brewing, the tea is when the sweet aroma of jasmine filled the air.  Jasmine has always been one of my favorite scents but I wasn’t sure about drinking it.  Definitely, worth a try as so far all these blends are wonderful.   The taste was interesting to me with the mix of floral from the jasmine, smooth nutty almond oil, and a bit of a bite from the orange peel.  I actually grew to like it by the end of the cup though at first I was undecided.  Now it wasn’t my favorite but I will definitely finish this bag as this blend is growing on me.

Clover Honey (Cooper Honey)

According to the card in my box, the honey came from Peculiar, MO.  Cooper Honey is a family owned business that packages over 125 tons of honey a year.  I just love how they give you details like this.  This honey was wonderful and I will admit to eating a few spoonfuls.  Guilty as charged… but it is so good!

Seed Paper (Botanical Paper Works)

The seed paper came from Botanical Paper Works in Winnipeg, Canada.  It is bio-degradable eco-paper embedded with seeds.  Plant the paper in a pot of soil and watch the seeds grow.  The paper will compost away.  My seed paper is planted in bio-degradable mini-planters that I can transfer outside when it warms up.  I’m hoping they sprout soon.

Just as a note Just Add Honey Tea Co. is from Atlanta, GA.
