What’s In My Makeup Bag #2

It’s been a very long time since I’ve done one of these posts but in all honesty I rotate my Makeup bag weekly to try out new products and to make sure that I’m using the products that I already have and love. Most likely what’s in my bag at the moment will change within a week but for now I thought it would be fun to share with you the products that I’ll be using over the next week.

This makeup bag was a gift from my mum a few years ago so I’m not sure where it’s from. I don’t tend to take much makeup with my when I’m out and about at work usually just a compact mirror and whatever lip product I’m wearing that day, this makeup bag is big enough though to hold that products I use on a weekly basis which is exactly what I need.

Eye Makeup
MUA Pro Base Eyeshadow Primer:
This is my go to eyeshadow primer at the moment, I’ve almost used it up but it’s super budget friendly and it does the trick so this is something that I use daily to help my eyeshadow to stay on for longer.
17 Eyeshadow Sticks:
These came in a little gift set that my sister kindly gave me, I’ve not used them yet but there’s three double ended ones that I’ll be testing over the next week.
Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl in Nude:
Black eyeliner on my waterline tends to smudge throughout the day so I usually prefer a nude eyeliner that makes me look more awake and won’t end up halfway down my face.
Estee Lauder Pure Colour Kajal Liner in Black:
This is a black kohl that I use for tightlining just so my eyes look more defined.
Oriflame The One Wonder Lash Mascara:
I really like this mascara it has a plastic brush that really grips my lashes and coats them from root to tip, this always makes my lashes look long, fluttery and separated without looking clumpy.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brunette:
I really love this brow pencil, it always makes my brows look natural but polished and it’s really easy to use. As someone with sparse brows this is great for filling in any gaps.

Face Makeup:
Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer:
My skin is quite dry at the moment so I have this in my makeup bag as it primes and hydrates the face ready for my makeup base.
Maybelline Instant Eye Erase Concealer:
I like to use this yellow toned concealer under my eyes as it’s very good at colour correcting any blue and purple tones I have which is always a bonus. I don’t use this on blemishes simply because it’s very yellow toned.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer:
This is the concealer that I use on blemishes and any redness I have, it’s pale enough for my skin and it doesn’t crease or crack making it perfect for blemishes.
L’oreal True Match Foundation in 1N:
This is the current foundation I’m using, it’s very lightweight and great for warmer weather as my skin can still breathe and doesn’t look cakey.
Topshop Glow in Polished:
I’ve been obsessed with this cream highlighter lately, I like to apply it under my makeup and blend it out for a subtle glow that isn’t glittery or too OTT in the sun.
Astor Deluxe Bronzer in 002 Safari Fever:
I do like to contour a little simply because my cheekbones are non existent. This allows me to add a little definition to my face without being too ashy or orange.
Max Factor Creme Puff Powder in Truly Fair:
I don’t wear powder all over my face simply because my skin is on the drier side but this helps me to set my makeup especially on any oilier areas like my chin.
Benefit Pump Up The Party Set:
I’ll be using this over the next few weeks so I can fully test it for review. This contains the Rockateur Blusher will I’ll be trying in place of another blusher.
Urban Decay Chill Setting Spray:
This helps to set my makeup but is more hydrating that the other Urban Decay Setting Sprays making it a great match for my skin.

Lip Makeup:
Herbolive Pomegranate Lip Balm:
I always keep a lip balm to hand simply because my lips are on the dry side, I like to apply this first so it can hydrate my lips whilst I do the rest of my makeup, the clear formula means that I don’t have to worry about it staining my lips.
17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in Beehive:
My choice of lipstick this week is a nude so I don’t have to worry about matching it to my eye makeup. This is a great pick as the formula is very hydrating and balmy so it’ll stop my lips from drying out.
