Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in Go Wild-er-ness Review

A lot of people rave about the Rimmel London Nail Polishes and as a die hard fan of Barry M polishes, I thought it was worth testing some more from Rimmel to try and find some new favourites. I love nails of all colours and lilac is always a such a spring/summer shade so I had to try Go-Wild-er-ness, especially as I’ve heard lots of good things about it. I’ve been wearing it all of last week and I have to say I’m impressed, here’s why.

I actually really like the packaging of these polishes, though you may not get as much polish as some brands with larger bottles, the small size is easy to store. I also love the flowers on the bottle, it’s a very cute design. This polish is part of the Rita Ora collection and it’s super affordable at only £2.99.

Onto the brush, I didn’t take a picture but I wish I had. For me this is a wider brush which is preferred and I didn’t have any problems with using this however, I noticed a blogger had complained in her review about the uneven brush and when I cleaned all of the polish off I did notice a slight unevenness to it. Personally, I didn’t initially notice this and it did affect application for me .

The shade itself is lovely, it’s a very pale (almost grey) lilac that instantly makes your hands look tanned and is so on trend for spring and summer, it’s a super pretty shade and definitely one I can see myself wearing a lot.

I did have an issue with application though with this as the formula was very sheer and patchy so it took me three coats to get this nice and even which definitely was a pain. Having said that, I did notice that this seemed to dry quickly, though I’m not sure it was within the sixty second claim if I’m honest.

It turns out though that those three coats were worth it, I was left which a beautiful glossy finish which I love and I got three solid days of wear out of this before it started to chip and that was without a top coat as well so it definitely exceeded my expectations for staying power. I also like how the polish stayed glossy all week rather than gradually becoming dull throughout the week like so many polishes do.

Overall, I am impressed with this, yes it’s a bit of a faff but worth it for the beautiful finish and the staying power, I personally would recommend and repurchase this polish and it ended up in my favourites for lasting so long – kind of a good job really since I bought a bunch of these in one go!

The Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish by Rita Ora is available from Superdrug for £2.99.
