Autumn Beauty Edit 2017

Tags: shade lip autumn

Can you believe I actually forgot to do a seasonal beauty edit in September? Well, I still have the rest of October and all of November so now that Autumn is in full swing I thought it would be nice to round up an absolute ton of products that I plan on using just in case you’re need some inspiration – or of course just want to be enabled.

Eyes
Kiko Intense Colour Long Lasting Eyeliner in Pearly Bronze
I typically use a nude eyeliner on my waterline for daywear but I’ve also taken to wearing this bronze liner on my upper lash line when I wear brown eyeshadow. On the lids this translates darker and more matte than shimmery but it’s a nice alternative to black and great when paired with shimmery browns and neutrals.
Makeup Revolution Out of This World Merged Eyeshadow in Limitless
An absolute bargain at a pound and so easy to use, this single eyeshadow is incredibly pigmented and offers a very intense shimmery bronze finish on the lids. It’s easy to blend and can be paired with other eyeshadows for a full autumn eye.
MUA Heaven and Earth Palette
A great budget palete that I alsways go back to, the shadows could have a better texture however, they offer solid pigment and can be layered up to be as intense or as subtle as you like, bonus points for the array of shimmery neutral shades.
Sleek Force of Nature Palette
This was a limited edition palette and I’ll admit I don’t wear the green and purples very regularly, I have been wearing the matte browns lately, the shades are more cool toned that I’d like but are still very nice shades and easy to work with as well as having an excellent staying power.
Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Palette
Another limited edition palette but if you did get your hands on this I urge you to dig it out. Plenty of buttery textured eyeshadows and the shimmery browns, jewel tones and striking duochromes will be getting a lot of use out of me in the next few months.
Urban Decay Naked Palette
A classic and a palette that everyone should at leats try. I can see myself using Half Baked a lot in the next few months buecause ;let’s be honest you can’t go wrong with a gold lid. The smokier shades in this palette will be great for evenings and nights out and the paler shades will be great for illuiminating and brightening, a great all rounder.
Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette
Very similar to the Alice in Wonderland and again limited edition, if you have this then be sure to dig it out because the jewel tones will be great for adding a pop of colour to your look whilst the creamy neutrals will be great for daywear and dressed down days.

Face
Benefit Hervana Good Karma Face Powder
The plummy pink and berry toned blushers are back and one of my all time favourites is Hervana which is a stunning shade of orchid that is neither too pale nor too deep. I always feel a sense of luxury when I use a Benefit cheek product and they never fail to deliver results.
Body Shop Colour Crush Blush in Guava
More pink toned and less berry toned this is a matte pink blusher that can be applied lightly for a natural flush or heavier for a…not so natural flush. I’ve recently dug this out as I’ve been trying out the draping trend, it’s great for sculpting the cheeks without going overboard with contour.
Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation
I use this most of the time but I’ll be relying on it quite heavily the next two months. The full coverage hides my angry red toned skin, the staying power manages to weather most weather types (see what I did there?) and the matte finish will be a welcome addition to my routine for Autumn and Winter.
Illamasqua Gel Colour in Fluster
Blush sticks are not for everyone and I will admit that this one can be a pain in the backside to blend however, it is great for adding tint to the cheeks. This is a bold pink shade so I fully recommend sheering this out with a sponge that has any excess foundation. It will definitely give your face the pinched from the cold look especially as it offers a dewy finish.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Gorgeous Berries
A fantastic offering from Max Factor, not only is the berry shade absolutely perfect for Autumn (without being too in your face) but the glow it offers apparently rivals that of the likes of Hourglass but at a fraction of the price. I love how healthy this makes my skin look hence why I keep using it time and time again.
MUA Velvet Touch Blush in Ritzy
Oily skinned gals rejoice because I have a wonderful cream blusher for you. Although Ritzy looks quite scary in the pan (neon glaring pink), it actually sheers out wonderfully. I use a small amount of this as a little goes a long way and just dab it onto the cheeks for an instaflush. Love it.
No7 Instant Radiance Highlighting Stick
Lately stick products are getting on my nerves simply because they move the base however, if you wipe this onto your finger tips and dab it on from there the results are much better. This champagne toned highlighter instantly reminds me of autumn with all of the golden tones as well as given you the chiseled cheekbones you deserve.
Sleek Barekissed Illuminator in Solstice
If highlighter sticks are not your thing but you are open to a liquid illuminator then look no further than the Sleek Barekissed Illuminators. I have the shade Solstice which again is a pale champagne tone. I actually like to apply this under my makeup so the glow can shine through, or if I have a fuller coverage then I’ll dab it over the top on the high points of my face for a killer glow.
Seventeen Skin Wow 3 Way Primer
I’m a huge fan of icy toned highlighters so I love this Seventeen product. You can use this as am primer though you may find it a bit full on but I actually just use it as an illuminator. A few drops of this go a very long way so you don’t need much, simply dab to your chosen areas and boom, a beautiful silvery glow.

Lips
Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick in Damson in Distress
A lovely plum toned lipstick with a satin finish, this is easy to wear and manages to be a lovely berry shade without being too purple and in your face. This does need topping up but I can forgive that for the easy to work with formula.
MAC Lipstick in Rebel
A classic, MAC’S Rebel is one that everyone goes back to in autumn and with good reason because it’s fab! I lovely how this deep berry lipstick looks on my lips, it does look much darker in the tube than on the lips and the satin finish and creamy formula are great.
Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipgloss in Stellar Berry
Not everyone likes glosses and I’ll admit they’re not my go-to but only a couple of weeks ago I wore this on my lips every day for a full week because it’s so lovely. This doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on the lips like most glosses, instead it offers a beautiful formula that glides on the lips and feels moisturising but not greasy or sticky.
Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Raspberry
A great option if you want a lipstick that won’t dry your lips out, this is a deeper rose shade that is easy to wear for daytime and not as bold as some of these other berry tones. Tjhis isn’t the most forgiving on dry lips however, it doesn’t have that dry formula that seems to make your lips dry out further.
Nyx Intense Butter Gloss in Spice Cake
A bolder gloss but still with an amazing formula, this has the pigmentation of a lipstick but the comfort and hydration of a gloss. True to it’s name this has a buttery formula that never feels sticky on the lips. The plummy shade is perfect for this weather too.
Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen
Who remembers the marsala colour trend? This shade is a deep berry/red/pink colour that is the same shade, the matte formula means that this sticks around and of course the winning formula stays put for hours and is bang on the matte lip trend. Lips will need prepping to avoid this clinging to dry patches but ultimately a great investment.
Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Matte 3D Lip Crayon in Berry Much
Berry lips have never been easier with this creamy lip crayon. The shape of the lipstick is tailored to hug the lips and be easy to use and the formula is of course fantastic. These are surprisingly budget friendly from Soap and Glory and a firm winner in my books.
Topshop Lips in Wicked
Want to try MAC’s Rebel but don’t like the price tag? Look no further than the Topshop Lips in Wicked, the shade is the perfect dupe and the formula is a firm contender too. This is creamier than MAC but has slightly less staying power. Still a winner for me.

Nails
Models Own Iced Neon Nail Polish in Pukka Purple
A brighter shade than deep red but a fun twist on autumn nail colours. Purple is a shade that I know I gravitate towards in Autumn and what better way than to wear it on my nails? The formula for this is nice and glossy and the opacity is great too only one to two coats and you’re ready to go.
No7 Gel Finish Nail Colour in Peacock Green
A slightly different shade but in the run of to Christmas (yes I said it) you just can’t beat having nails the same shade as the Quality Street Green Triangle wrappers. This is a gel nail polish so it offers the same finish as gel nails but without as much damage. Bonus points for the stunning shade, strong opacity and wider brush that makes it easy to work with.
Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Omen
Definitely not one for every day for a lot of people but come Halloween, this is a great option. The neon green shade has a shimmery finish so your nails can almost glow in the dark. This stays on really well and applies easily without going patchy or streaky.
Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Viridian
Slightly lacking in staying power but I love the unusual shade of this polish/ It’s a blackened turquoise so in some lights it looks black and in others it shines a deep metallic green/turquoise. A beautiful shade and one that I’m yet to see duped.

So there we have it, lots of lovely products that shgould have offered you some inspiration for Autumn. Let me know in the comments what products you’ll be reaching for. In the meantime I’m off to snuggle up with a cup of tea and Netflix.

Thanks for reading!
