Ten Skincare Brands #2

It’s been a year since I’ve done a round up of great Skincare Brands. I’m always hesitant to say my top because I’ve mentioned some of my favourites in the previous post, plus I’m fickle and as I discover new products I fall in love with them. So, today I’ll be talking about Ten Skincare Brands and the products I recommend from them, nice and simple!

Balance Me
A mostly natural brand I’ve tried a lip balm and a face mask from this range. For me, it’s the face mask that I really like. Whilst Balance Me are not 100% natural they’re pretty damn close and I appreciate how they try and keep their products nasty free. A nice, mid-range brand.
I recommend: Balance Me Radiance Face Mask

Boots Botanics
Boots Botanics is a nice brand to try if you are strapped for cash and don’t want to use purely face wipes. The Ultra Calm Cleansing Cream is a really nice budget option. Whilst it won’t do anything super amazing, it does hydrate the skin and remove makeup and it’s suitable for sensitive skin too.
I recommend: Boots Ultra Calm Cleansing Cream

Garnier
Whilst everyone loves the micellar water, Garnier never really stood out to me as a skincare brand, until they released their Moisture Bomb range which really is – the bomb. I recently tried the moisturiser which I loved, I also have the sheet mask to try.
I recommend: Garnier Moisture Bomb Moisturiser

Lancome
Whilst I don’t love every skincare product by Lancome (I loathe the Gel Eclat cleanser) what separates Lancome from brands such as Estee Lauder and Kiehls is that their facial serums are great for my skin and are not heavily fragranced either. Thye standout product for me is the Genifique which does everything I want a serum to, it hydrates, leaves my skin super soft and silky plus it adds radiance.
I recommend: Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate

Merumaya
With the two products three products I’ve tried, I’m really not surprised that Merumaya has a cult following. I’ve tried their Melting Cleansing Balm, Gentle Exfoliating Toner and Iconic Youth Serum. Whilst I wasn’t a fan of the chemically exfoliating toner, the cleansing balm and serum really blew me away. Both are fantastic products worth every penny.
I recommend: Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm, Merumaya Iconic Youth Serum.

Organic & Botanic
I’ll be honest, I’ve only tried the one product from this brand and I have to admit I do think that £50 is steep for what it is. Having said that, I’ve been using this on a daily basis and I love the cool formula that feels almost whipped in texture. The scent of Amazonian Berry is definitely not one to be sniffed at though this may be a bit harsh for some noses.
I recommend: Organic&Botanic Amazonian Berry Moisturiser

Quick Fix Facials
Again I’ve tried one product from this brand and I know that it’s definitely going to be too harsh for some skin types. This isn’t a product I use all of the time as it is a manual exfoliator that is very scrubby however, if I have a build up of gunk and dry skin this does leave my skin feeling very polished and cleansed.
I recommend: Quick Fix Facials Exfoliating Scrub Mask

Superdrug
Whilst I am a solid fan of Boots, I genuinely think that Superdrug’s skincare rnage is vastly underrated. I’m a huge fan of the Vitamin E range and currently have two products that I’m using regularly and boy do they help my skin. The products from Superdrug to me prove that skincare doesn’t have to be expensive to work.
I recommend: Superdrug Vitamin E Eye Cream, Superdrug Vitamin E Toning Mist

Vichy
Whenever I try a product from Vichy I know that I’m going to love it and it’s a brand that I revisit time and time again. I’m yet to review it but I seriously love the Vichy Aqualia Thermale Serum which is quite frankly fantastic. I’m also a huge fan of the Idealia Eye Serum and the Face Serum too. The one product I really disliked was the Normaderm concealer that is not only orange in tone but quite frankly just doesn’t work for me.
I recommend: Vichy Aqualia Thermale Serum, Idealia Eye Contour, Idealia Life Serum.

What Skin Needs
The final brand this is an independent brand and I tried one of the serums. The serum I think will be a love or hate product for many. It smells quite strong like lemon oil and reminds me of cough sweets, it also feelings more like a thick oil however, it sinks in quickly so you need to move fast. Definitely an unusual formula and texture however, it does leave my skin baby soft and hydrated.
I recommend: What Skin Needs Hydrating Facial Serum

So there we have it, ten skincare brands I recommend, I’d be keen to hear from you what skincare brands you love or any products that you recommend so please feel free to comments.

Thanks for reading!
