Keira Knightley Inspired LOTD

One thing I Love about Keira Knightley is how effortlessly elegant and chic she always looks, I mean it’s no surprise that she was the face of Chanel was it? I am not elegant or chic but I do love Keira’s simple yet beautiful makeup and so I took inspiration from her to create this look, I hope that you like it!

Eyes
Body Shop Instablur Eye Primer

As always I started by priming my eyes, I actually prime my lid and under my eyes as I have fine lines under my eyes. The Body Shop primer isn’t bad but the formula is quite crumbly and can be difficult to work with.
Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette
For eyeshadows I opted for matte neutral shades and I use my Urban Decay Vice 3 palette for this. I started by using the shade Undone over the lid which is a natural slightly peach toned nude, I then went in the crease with Downfall just to add a little more dimension.
Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer
I have horrible dark circles and a lot of texture under my eyes. Due to being ill last year too much calcium has caused me to get a few of those milia which I really hate so I always like to wear concealer. This one doesn’t crease but as I’m ageing I’m finding it to be less effective the older I get.
Benefit They’re Real Lash Primer
I love wearing this on my bottom lashes as it doesn’t run like black mascara does. I also used this on my upper lashes, my lashes are fine but they tangle easily and I really want to have lengthened, fanned out lashes.
L’oreal Telescopic Mascara
This mascara is so dark and it instantly adds length (and volume) if I want it, I used this on my upper lashes over the top of the primer to really add some oomph to my eyes.
Benefit Gimme Brow
I have quite sparse brows so I usually fill them in but Keira keeps hers quite natural so I simply went in with a tinted brow gel to darken my brows and to brush them into place. For some reason in the end photo they look quite ashy but in real life they weren’t.

Face
Stila Aqua Glow Perfecting Primer
This really is my holy grail primer and it does so well in the winter months. I can’t even apply makeup now without using this as it hydrates and soothes my skin and provides a beautiful base for my foundation to sit on.
L’oreal True Match Foundation in 1N
This is my favourite drugstore/high street foundation, it goes on beautifully when applied with a sponge and it really helps my makeup to apply evenly without moving around, streaking or settling on dry patches.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Mono Blush in Santa Rose
This look is all about the blusher so I didn’t bother with bronzer and just used blusher to lift the face. I forgot how much I loved this blusher, it’s very pale and natural looking (the most neutral blusher I own) but it gives a healthy finish to the cheeks. It’s also matte, perfect for natural days.
MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter in Pink Shimmer
Applied liberally this can be very intense but I always go in with a very light hand as I like my highlighter to be very subtle. I really love this powder and I’ve been using it non-stop for months now, it’s a brilliant powder and so budget friendly at only £4.00.
Max Factor Creme Puff Powder in Truly Fair
I thought I was over with powder once I realised that Rimmel’s Stay Matte did nothing for me but since using this I’m a convert. This really helps to set my makeup into place and it takes away any extra shine or oil without drying my skin out.

Lips
MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Pure Zen
This is a beautiful nude shade but I’m not sold on the formula. This feels like glazing my lips and I do feel that any piece of dryness on the lips is magnified by this. The shade is lovely but I’m not sold on the Cremesheen formula I feel that this sits strangely on my lips.

That concludes this post, I don’t think I went for the most flattering angle in this photo but I tried to get the lighting to show it true to colour, just look how dark my bedroom is in the background!

I hope that you enjoyed this post and if you did please hit the like button, let me know in the comments what you think of this look, would you wear it? Also, please follow if you’re not already doing so I’m on WordPress and Bloglovin.
