Although we all might not feel it yet, Spring is arriving, and that means every high school and college students’ favorite time of the year; Spring Break!!! Whether you’re spending it in your friends pool, at the beach, or on an island, you still want your Makeup to look #flawless. Here are some makeup must haves that are proven to beat the heat and humidity so you can enjoy your break without having to worry about your face melting off! (not cute)

1.Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer with SPF 20 $42

Ok so I think everyone knows by now that I swear by my Smashbox primer! It just gives my combination skin such a great base for Foundation. Now, you can have your favorite Primer with SPF 20, (because you can never have too much SPF!!!). Primer is so essential to use when you will be in heat and humidity, or anywhere really that you will be sweating. Primer will stop your makeup from sliding off of your face and keep you from looking like a hot mess on the beach (no pun intended).

2. MAC Prep+Prime Transparent Pressed Finishing Powder $26

In the heat, setting your makeup is just as important as priming! Using a Transparent Setting Powder like the Mac Prep+Prime will stop your makeup from looking cakey throughout the day.

Pro Tip: use transparent setting powder to set cream blushes and bronzers in the heat and they will stay much longer than powder blushes or bronzers.

3. Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation $62

This lightweight foundation is perfect for warm weather. It not only gives you an airbrushed finish, but its light consistency stops it from caking up and looking bad in the heat and humidity. The last thing you want in the heat is a heavy foundation. Another great option instead of foundation is to use a BB cream or tinted moisturizer like the Laura Mercier Tinted Moistuzier with SPF 20.

4. Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Setting Spray $14

I will never run out of good things to say about this amazing spray. No matter how windy, or sweaty, or humid it is, just a few spritzes of this will help your makeup stay looking fresh all day. Urban Decay also sells versions of this spray that add moisture for people with dry skin or prevent shine for people with oily skin. This is something that every girl should have in her makeup bag no matter what the season!!!

5. NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base $26

Eyeshadow primer is just as important as foundation primer. This NARS primer does a great job of keeping your eyeshadow in place all day long while enhancing the color of your shadow and preventing creasing. In the hot weather its sometimes better to use a primer and a powder shadow as opposed to a cream shadow so your eyeshadow wont run.

6. Lancome Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer $31

This concealer is one of my summer faves! It not only conceals but it also color corrects to get rid of dark undereye circles. It’s waterproof too so it’s the perfect product for a day at the beach or a dip in the pool. Another great option if you’ re looking for a heavier waterproof concealer is the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Waterproof Concealer. Another good one to try is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Waterproof All-Day Extreme Wear Concealer.

7. Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream Eyeshadow $23

This waterproof cream eyeshadow is perfect for adding a pop ofcolor to your look without having to worry about shadows smudging and running. These shadows are really well pigmented and easy to blend. Although they are a little pricey, they’re worth it if you really want makeup that will last in any weather. However, L’Oreal Infallible 24 HR Eyeshadow is another fantastic waterproof shadow that you can find at drugstores for only $8.

8. Urban Decay Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara $20

This mascara, as the name shows, is designed for a day of fun in the pool. I’ve tried a lot of waterproof mascaras and this is by far the best one in my opinion. While a lot of waterproof mascaras tend to flake off or clump up on your lashes, this applies smoothly and feels like a normal mascara while both lengthening and adding volume. I also found that this formula stays a lot better and longer than other waterproof mascaras, its perfect for the gym, pool, beach, or anyplace you plan on crying… A must have in your beach bag this spring break!
