Plastic Free July – Tips to help reduce your single use plastic
- Only print documents when absoloutely necessary. Not only does this reduce the use of paper, but also plastic ink cartridges and the use of ink
- Use paper kraft envelopes instead of plastic ones or ones with plastic windows
- Suggest ways that plastic jars and containers can be re-used.
- Buy things in bulk to reduce the amount of packaging.
- Switch to loose leaf tea and coffee or tea bags that are plastic free.
- Source paper reams that are not packaged in plastic.
- Switch from using single use plastic cutlery and crockery to paper and wood.
- Use your own and encourage staff and colleaugues to bring their own refillable coffee cups with lids to be used on the go!
